I Tell Yah Invitational League
SEASON FOUR
Week 2
As expected. There has been a lot of early movement in the ITYIL as everyone is fighting to set the early pace and put a marker down in pursuit of the coveted fantasy league title.
This weeks new league leader is new boy Lee Barratt whose 56 points came mainly from the 15 points Man Utd’s Bailey contributed after scoring and claiming a clean sheet. As well as Mane’s 8 points from midfield as he won the game for Liverpool. Another clean sheet from WBA’s Foster between the sticks and another goal from Lukaku. Just two points behind, comes another new boy Issa Banka with contributions from the aformentioned Bailey. Clean sheets from his team mates Blind & De Gea. Also captain Eriksen’s 14 points from midfield.
In third, just a point behind comes an ITYIL ever present Jeff Franklin who can thank Mane along with Redmond’s 5 points in midfield. Rooney’s 8 points after scoring on his return to Manchester and captain Lukaku’s 12 points. Completing the Champions League places just a further point behind, comes Mr old skool, Super Sunday afternoon’s on Kool FM himself (my DJ) Pressure X. Who can thank WBA’s Hegazy with another clean sheet. Pogba’s 15 points in midfield. Eriksen’s 7 points and captain Lukaku’s 12 points.
Two points off the Champions League places, dropping four places comes last weeks league leader Joe Hilditch. With only Redmond and Rooney providing decent points. In sixth comes Jay J Mensah who is also this weeks highest scorer with 60 points thanks to huge contributions from Leicester’s Maguire and Pogba both providing 15 points. Also captain Mane’s 16 points.
Behind them making some headway towards the Champions League places is another debut, representing Tanzania. Faliiz Brown. Who will be happy with clean sheets from De Gea. Leicester’s Simpson and Huddersfield’s Zanka. As well as 10 points from Mkhitaryan and a goal from his team mate Lukaku. In eighth place is last season’s runner up Emmanuel Ogana. With a quartet of midfielders Mane 8, Eriksen 7, Philips 6 Redmond 5 providing points.
Making up the top 10 in ninth comes my Parring P Francis Norville, mainly due to points from the defensive trio of Chelsea’s Courtois, Stoke’s Peters and Leicester’s Fuchs also Rooney. In joint tenth comes my partner in crime Tyrone Brown thanks to Captain Lukaku’s 12 points and (I call him Bryan Robson) Ibrahim Gullu. Thanks to Leicester’s defender Morgan with 5 points and Eriksen’s 7 points from midfield.
This weeks biggest mover was yours truly. I moved up nine places in the league due to a quartet of clean sheets from Man Utd’s De Gea. Leicester’s Fuchs. and Huddersfields Lowe who contributed 6 points, as well as WBA’ Hagazy with 8 points. Along with 7 points from Eriksen and captain Lukaku’s 12 points.
