I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON FOUR
WEEK 32
This week in the Premier League. Tottenham finally broke a 28 year unwanted record to defeat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Salah scored again to help Liverpool to a late win at Palace. Arsenal strolled past Stoke. As did West Ham with a much-needed victory at home to Southampton. Man City eased past Everton with the highest possession for an away team ever in the Premier League. Man Utd comfortably defeated Swansea. Leicester beat Brighton away. Newcastle squeezed bast Huddersfield at home. Burnley defeated WBA away, which saw the end of Pardew’s reign and Defoe’s last goal snatched a point for Bournemouth at Watford.
In the ITYIFL. Joe Hilditch remains on top with a healthy lead and is now looking like the champions elect (not jinxing it). His 60 points was due to captain Lukaku (16). Vardy (6). Sane (8). Salah (7). Son (5) Robertson (8) and Lascelles (5). In second, closing the lead barely, due to scoring 63 points is Kool FM’s Pressure X. Thanks to triple captain Salah (21). Lukaku (8). Lingard (6) Sane and De Gea (6).
In third, losing ground slightly on second with a modest 41 point week is Mr Paul Jarvis. Whose contributors were Salah. Sterling (7). Eriksen (9) and Ogbonna (6). In fourth, also losing ground with a disappointing 39 point week is Greg C. Who can only thank Vardy. Salah. Sterling and Maguire (5) for their contributions.
Danny Milton was the only person in the top ten to improve their position. His 63 points moved him up two places, thanks to captain Aubameyang (26). Salah. Son. Lingard. Mane (6) and Evans (5). Last years runner-up Emmanuel Ogana remains in sixth place. His 58 points was due to captain Salah (14). Lukaku. Vardy. Lingard. Son. Robertson and Monreal (6).
Down into seventh place is my right hand man Tyrone Brown, who will be disappointed with his 43 points. With only captain Salah. David Silva (11) De Bruyne (5) and Maguire providing any significant points. Yours Truly remains in eighth. I closed the gap slightly on seventh with 51 points, thanks to captain Salah. Vardy. Sterling. Lingard and De Gea.
Ahm Ahm Charlie Brown closed the gap considerably on the teams above with a decent 62 point week. Doing the business were captain Salah. Vardy. David Silva. Son. Milivojevic (9). Maguire and Valencia (7). Consolidating in tenth place is Natalie Stigwood. Thanks to captain Salah. Vardy. Eriksen. Sterling and De Bruyne.
This weeks highest scorer was Nordin Gharib with 90 points. adding to his 94 points last time out. This was due to contributions from captain Salah. Aubameyang (13). Vardy. David Silva. Ozil (7). Robertson. Lascelles. Mustafi (8) and Dubravka (6). This weeks highest mover is my long time mate Francis Norville. Moving up three places from 29th to 26th, thanks to captain De Bruyne (10). Aubameyang. Arnautovic (16) Salah. Son and Smalling (6).
Only six more game weeks left. So we are literally at the business end of the season ya’ll.
