I was initially impressed with his consistency, he hardly ever seems to have a bad game and this is what elevated him into becoming a very capable leader in my team.
As a skipper, he became a very reliable defender, always seems to be in the right place at the right time and was the focal point of a very strong defence.
A bonus is when we were struggling, he even filled in as a DM and was decent there also. However, it maybe difficult to pry him away from Benfica and it could cost a decent price tag.
But if you have European aspirations. This would be a perfect acquisition to help lead your team into an assault on Europe.
He’s one of those players that got better and better as he got older and remained an asset late into his 30’s.
