WEEK 23

This week in the Premier League, Liverpool continued to break records as they eased past Man Utd 2-0 at home. Burnley came from behind to score two goals in the second half to beat Leicester 2-1 at home. Newcastle got a dramatic last minute goal to beat Chelsea 1-0 at home. Wolves dramatically came from two goals down to beat Southampton 3-2 away. In a real relegation clash, Norwich beat Bournemouth 1-0 at home. Palace got a late own goal to draw 2-2 at Man City. Sheff Utd also got a late goal to equalise at Arsenal 1-1. Brighton drew 1-1 with Aston Vill at home, also Watford and Spurs played out a 0-0 with Gazzaniga saving Deeney’s Penalty.

In a relatively low scoring ITIFL, my oldest mate Delroy Preddie is the new league leader, he scored a given the circumstances very decent 50 points to take him to the top of the table via 10 points. Doing the business were captain Mane (6) Jimenez (13) Grealish (10) and Alexander-Arnold (10).

Washington DC’s Greg C moves down into second place due to a disappointing weekly score of 29 points. His only real contributions came from captain Sterling (4) Alexander-Arnold (10) and Maupay (4). Perennial top ten man Danny Milton remains in third with a wildcard weekly score of 39 points. This was only due to Alexander-Arnold (10) Salah (7) and Robertson (6).

Lee Barratt moves up into the Champions League places with a weekly score of 45 points, thanks to the likes of captain De Bruyne (4) Van Dijk (15) Calvert-Lewin (8) and Salah (7). Natalie Stigwood moves down into fifth with a 42 point week. Her contributions came from captain Abraham (4) Gazzaniga (14) and Traore (10).

Mr ever-present Jeff Franklin remains in sixth place with a very decent weekly score of 57 points. This was thanks to captain De Bruyne (4) Alexander-Arnold (10) Traore (10) Pukki (9) Salah (7) and Cathcart (6). Timothy Stigwood remains in seventh with a weekly score of 48 points due to captain Salah (14) Grealish (10) and Alexander-Arnold (10).

Last years runner up Mr James remains in eighth with a superb weekly score of 68 points, his contributions came from captain Aguero (26) Alexander-Arnold (10) Grealish (10) and Salah (7). Owen Barnes remains in ninth with a weekly score of 39 points. This was thanks only to captain De Bruyne (4) Alexander-Arnold (10) and Grealish (10).

My blood brother Wayne Watson returns to the top ten thanks to a decent weekly score of 50 points, he can thank the likes of captain Mane (6) Van Dijk (15) Grealish (10) and Zaha (5). This weeks Highest Scorer with given the circumstances an amazing weekly score of 71 points was Mr Paul Jarvis, this inevitably made him this weeks Highest Mover as he moved up four places from 20th to 16th. Doing the business were captain Aguero (26) Gazzaniga (14) Grealish (10) and Traore (10).
