PLAYER NO103
Name: Jonas Wind
Original Team: FC Kobenhavn (Copenhagen) Denmark
Best Position: Striker
Best Attribute: Heading /Anticipation / Penalty taking
Bio: I would say this is for managers who have teams just outside the Champions League places and want that extra something to get into the Champions League and challenge for the title.
He first came to my attention when he played against my team in the Europa League, he subsequently scored three goals in two games and knocked me out of Europe, it was then a three year pursuit to get him.
He is an imposing, lethal striker, who scores goals for fun. If you have players who can deliver a decent cross or have vision, then he will get you 20 plus goals per season.
His main quality is being excellent in the air, I cannot tell you the amount of times he stepped up with a big goal, anticipating a cross and beating his marker to score a superb header.
But the good thing about him is you don’t have to be a long ball team to get the best out of him, he is also adept on the ground and has very good dribbling abilities for someone so good in the air, and scores his fair sheer with his feet.
Another extra plus is he is a superb penalty taker. I think I have seen him take about 17/18 penalties and he’s not missed one, whenever we had a penalty I was fully confident he would score.
He was also capped for Denmark and had a very decent scoring record in international football, so I have no reservations about his abilities at any level.
