Bio: I personally feel every manager needs this type of player in their team if they want to be successful. Some may refer to him as a “water carrier” and although that would be accurate, he is so much more than that.
First and foremost, he is an extremely unselfish player whose energy up and down the pitch is invaluable. He works in a neat and tidy passing game, who loves to keep things simple and keep the ball ticking over.
Due to this, he rarely loses the ball. Add to the fact that he is versatile and can play defensive, conventional or attacking midfield.
Not one to have high numbers of assists or goals, but always seems to pop up with important goals and assists when you least expect it.
His immense work rate, energy, passing ability and the fact that he is rarely injured makes him a fan and manager favourite who is often the first, reliable name on the team sheet.
I would advise to go try purchase him as early as possible, as after a few years, whoever has him will be very reluctant to let him go without a massive offer.
