PLAYER NO110
Name: Jules Koundé
Original Team: Sevilla (Spain)
Best Position: Centre Back
Best Attribute: Balance / Tackling / Heading
Bio: Firstly, let me just say that when the game starts, he is 21 and in his second season with Seville, so it will have to be a monumental effort and a whole lot of cash to get him.
However, if you leave it a few years, well, 6 years like I did and the stars all align at the right time, he will undoubtedly be one of your career best signings. Ultra consistent, ultra reliable, it got to the stage where he was more or less the first name on the team sheet.
A no nonsense centre back, who really excelled for me playing on the right of a back three. He was solid, strong, brave and basically world class.
You wont get a lot of goals or assists from him, although he may pop up with the odd few, especially if you put him to attack the near post on corners (little tip).
But I guarantee your clean sheet tally will go up and you know what they say, a good attack wins fans but a good defence wins championships.
Aside from that, a real plus was he seemed to improve with age and was still top class right up to 34, where I eventually let him go on free, having amassed over 60 French caps.
