SEASON NINE
WEEK 4
This week in the Premier League, Liverpool equalled the Premier League record for the biggest win as they destroyed Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield. At the Etihad, Man City came from two goals down at halftime to beat Crystal Palace 4-2. Arsenal came from a goal down to get a late 2-1 win at home to Fulham. 10-man Chelsea beat Leicester 2-1 at home. Spurs overcame a missed penalty to beat Forest 2-0 away. Brighton maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they beat Leeds 1-0 at home. Man Utd beat Southampton 1-0 away. West Ham got their first points of the season, as they beat Aston Villa 1-0 away. Brentford got a late equaliser to draw with Everton 1-1 at home. Newcastle got a stunning late equaliser as they drew 1-1 at Wolves.
In the ITYIFL, league leader Natalie Stigwood is now out in front on her own and put down an early marker for the season, thanks to an excellent 92 point weekly score. Doing the business was captain Haaland (32) Sterling (15) Diaz (14) Kane (10) and Bernardo (9).
My old football clubmate Darren Ahmet is 16 points behind in second, following a decent 76 point week. This was due to captain Salah (6) Haaland (17) Alexander-Arnold (17) Diaz (14) Saliba (7) and Peri?ic (6). Moving up to third, trying to close the gap is Nordin Gharib, due to a very decent weekly score of 81 points. This was thanks to captain Salah (6) Haaland (17) Alexander-Arnold (17) Diaz (14) James (7) and Peri?ic (6).
My oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown remains in a Champions League place following his decent 77 point week. This was despite triple captain Jesus (3) Alexander-Arnald (17) Sterling (15) Kane (10) Sanchez (8) James (7) Kulusevski (6) and Tossard (6). Moving up to fifth is this week’s Highest Scorer, my long-time mate Bob Maroon thanks to a superb weekly score of 96 points. Doing the business was captain Haaland (34) Sterling (15) Diaz (14) Kane (10) Kulusevski (6) Dier (6) and Cucurella (5).
Timothy Stigwood moves down to sixth, just a point behind sixth following a 60 point weekly score, his contributions came from captain Salah (6) Alexander-Arnold (17) Diaz (14) Henderson (9) and Gündogan (4). My recent former work colleague Abdul Rahman moves up into seventh place thanks to a very decent 83 point weekly score. This was due to the likes of captain Haaland (34) Sterling (15) Robertson (9) James (7) and Mitrovic (7).
Also moving up into eighth is former champ Jeff Franklin, following his decent 80 point week, with contributions from captain Salah (6) Haaland (17) Alexander-Arnold (17) Diaz (14) Dalot (11) and James (7). My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito remains in ninth, thanks to his wildcard weekly score of 73 points. This was due to captain De Bruyne (4) Alexander-Arnold (17) Kane (10) Odegaard (10) Gabriel (9) Henderson (9) and Saint-Maximin (9).
This week’s Highest Mover is Washington DC’s, Greg Cabana. He moved up a massive 11 places from 21st to 10th due to his very decent 84 point weekly score. This was thanks to contributions from captain Salah (6) Alexander-Arnold (17) Haaland (17) Sterling (15) Odegaard (10) James (7) and Mitrovic (7).
