Fantasy Football S9 WEEK 9 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON NINE

WEEK 9

This week in the Premier League, Arsenal cemented their title challenge by beating Liverpool 3-2 at home with the help of a tight penalty call. Man City continued their dominance by brushing Southampton aside 4-0 at home. Newcastle destroyed Brentford 5-1 at home. Chelsea strolled past managerless Wolves 3-0 at home. Man Utd came from a goal down to beat Everton 2-1 away. Bournemouth also came from a goal down to beat struggling Leicester 2-1 at home. Crystal Palace was the third team to come from a goal down, to win 2-1 as they beat Leeds at home. In a theme this week, West Ham also came from a goal down to beat Fulham 3-1 at home. Also, Forest drew at home 1-1 with Aston Villa.

In the ITYIFL, the league leader further stretched her lead at the top to now 73 points. Natalie Stigwood is showing no signs of letting up, or relinquishing her top spot. She scored a very decent 72 point week, thanks to captain Haaland (12) Cancelo (18) Martinelli (12) Kane (7) Trippier (7) and Toney (5).

Jeff Franklin moves up into a very familiar position as the lead chaser, thanks to his decent 65 point weekly score. This was due to captain Haaland (12) Cancelo (18) Martinelli (12) Trippier (7) and Jesus (5). My old football clubmate Darren Ahmet also moves up, to third, following a weekly score of 61 points. His contributions came from captain Haaland (12) Cancelo (18) Foden (11) Trippier (7) and Jesus (5).

My oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown moves down to fourth, following a somewhat disappointing 41 point week, where his only real significant points came from captain Haaland (12) Martinelli (12) and Jesus (5). Warning signs for the rest of the league, as double champ Danny Milton storms up into fifth, thanks to an excellent 76 point weekly score. Doing the business was captain Haaland (12) Cancelo (18) Martinelli (12) Bowen (7) Kane (7) Jesus (5) and Zaha (5).

Remaining in sixth is Nordin Gharib, following his decent 68 point week. This was due to contributions from triple captain Haaland (18) Cancelo (18) Trippier (7) De Bruyne (6) Jesus (5) Wilson (5) and Zaha (5). My long-time mate Bob Maroon moves down to seventh place due to his slightly disappointing weekly score of 47 points. His contributions were mainly from captain Haaland (12) Foden (11) Kane (7) Dier (6) and Jesus (5).

My recent former work colleague Abdul Rahman moves up to eighth (Just a point behind your favourite seventh place) following a weekly score of 62 points. This was due to triple captain Haaland (18) Martinelli (12) Almiron (7) Kane (7) Trippier (7) and Jesus (5). Owen Barnes also moves up, to ninth, following his decent 64 point weekly score. This was also due to triple captain Haaland (18), Cancelo (18) Trippier (7) De Bruyne (6) and Jesus (5).

Sneaking back into the top ten, just a point behind ninth, is my coaching partner Francis Norville, due to his very decent 74 point week. This was thanks to the likes of captain Haaland (12) Cancelo (18) Martinelli (12) Foden (11) Antony (8) and Jesus (5). In her debut season. This week’s Highest Scorer is Philippines native Jean Ninal, thanks to a superb 77 point weekly score. It also made her this week’s Highest Mover, as she moved up four places from 22nd to 19th. Doing the business was captain Haaland (12) Cancelo (18) Martinelli (12) Kane (7) Trippier (7) Andreas (6) Jesus (5) and Odegaard (4).

Full steam ahead to week 10. Only six more game weeks until we break for the World Cup. Make it count y’all.
