I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON NINE
WEEK 15
This week in the Premier League, Brentford shocked one and all by beating Man City 2-1 away. Newcastle continued their good form as they beat Chelsea at home, 1-0. Spurs came from 3-2 down to beat Leeds 4-3 at home. Arsenal ensured they’ll be top at Christmas as they beat Wolves 2-0 away. Man Utd got a dramatic late winner to beat Fulham 2-1 away. Bournemouth slapped Everton at home twice in a matter of days, with a 3-0 victory. Leicester continues to rise up the table after their 2-0 away win at West Ham. Notts Forest got a vital win as they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at home. Unai Emery makes it two wins from two as his Aston Villa team beat Brighton 2-1 away and Liverpool beat Southampton 3-1 at home.
In the ITYIFL, after a few rocky weeks, league leader Natalie Stigwood made sure she will be top at Christmas due to a steady 46 point weekly score, which sees her lead the league by 27 points. This was thanks to contributions from Kane (11) Schar (7) Trippier (7) Martinelli (6) and Pope (5).
Putting down a real marker in his debut season and putting everyone on notice, is my recent former work colleague Abdul Rahman. He stormed up into second place following a very decent bench boost, 62 point week. Thanks to the likes of Kane (11) Trippier (7) Almiron (6) Ramsdale (6) and from off the bench Ward (11) and Schar (7). This sees Jeff Franklin move down to third, following a disappointing weekly score of 33, with his only real contributions coming from Trippier (7) Martinelli (6) and Ramsdale (6).
Double champ Danny Milton closes the gap on third to just seven points, thanks to his decent 60 weekly score. This was due to Kane (11) Ward (11) Robertson (9) Trippier (7) Almiron (6) Martinelli (6) and Solanke (5). Remaining in fifth is Yours Truly. I scored a steady 47 point week, with contributions from Kane (11) Trippier (7) Almiron (6) Martinelli (6) and Saliba (6).
Remaining in sixth is Sanjay Beecher, following his weekly score of 50 points. This was mainly thanks to Kane (11) Ward (11) Trippier (7) Almiron (6) and Saliba (6). Remaining in seventh is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, due to his 44 point weekly score, with contributions from White (8) Trippier (7) Almiron (6) Maddison (6) and Mee (5).
In eighth is my coaching partner Francis Norville with a wildcard weekly 41 point week. His main contributions came from Trippier (7) Almiron (6) Martinelli (6) Saliba (6) and Pope (5). Storming up into ninth in her debut season is Philippines native Jean Ninal, thanks to an excellent 64 point weekly score. Doing the business was Odegaard (16) Tavernier (14) Kane (11) Trippier (7) and Martinelli (6).
Making up the top ten is my Spurs mate and another former work colleague Keith Wilson, following his weekly score of 43 points. Due to Kane (11) Almiron (6) Maddison (6) and Saliba (6). This week’s Highest Scorer is another former work colleague, my Arsenal mate Mr James, thanks to a superb 69 point week. Doing the business was Darwin (13) Ward (11) Robertson (9) White (8) Summerville (7) Trippier (7) and Almiron (6).
This week’s Highest Mover was my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, as he moved up a massive eight places from 20th to 12th due to his excellent 64 point week. This was thanks to Odegaard (16) Toney (13) Trippier (7) Almiron (6) Henderson (6) and Gabriel (5).
So that’s it for now. We break for six weeks for the World Cup. Remember, while the World Cup is on you can make unlimited transfers. Make it count y’all, and I’ll see you on the other side!
