I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TEN
WEEK 1
Ahhh it’s good to be back…. Ok. This week in the Premier League. Newcastle signalled their intent with a 5-1 home thrashing of Aston Villa. Luton got a topflight rude awakening with a 4-1 away defeat to Brighton. Man City breezed past newly promoted Burnley 3-0 away.
Fulham got a credible away win at Everton 1-0. Sheff Utd made it a hat-trick of defeats for the newly promoted sides as they lost at home to Palace 1-0. Arsenal sneaked past Notts Forest 2-1 at home. Man Utd also sneaked past Wolves 1-0 at home. Chelsea and Liverpool played out a pulsating 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, and Spurs drew 2-2 at Brentford, with all the goals coming in the first half.
On the opening day of the ITYFL, my Spurs mate Keith Wilson is the early front-runner, following his excellent weekly score of 89 points, obviously making him the week’s Highest Scorer. Thanks to captain Haaland (26) Isak (13) Leno (12) Saka (10) Maddison (9) Solanke (7), and Shaw (5).
Just three points behind is a trio in joint second. Firstly, the former champ, ahem Charles Denton’s 86 point week was due to captain Haaland (26) Isak (13) Saka (10) Ake (7) Estupinan (7) Ederson (6) Mitoma (5) and Saliba (5). Also, Nordin Gharib whose 86 point week was thanks to captain Haaland (26) Isak (13) Saka (10) Onana (9) Estupinan (7) Joao Pedro (7), and Martinelli (5).

In fifth is Owen Barnes, with a decent 80 point weekly score. His contributions come from captain Haaland (26) Leno (12) Saka (10) Estupinan (7) Joao Pedro (7) Botman (5) and Saliba (5). Washington DC’s Greg Cabana is in sixth with a weekly score of 76 points. Due to captain Haaland (26) Isak (13) Saka (10) Estupinan (7) Solanke (7) Salah (5), and Shaw (5).
My blood brother Wayne Watson is in seventh, following his 75 point week. Thanks to captain Haaland (26) Isak (13) Saka (10) Maddison (9) Salah (5) and Saliba. In joint eighth on 74 points is my old football club mate Darren Ahmet, due to captain Haaland (26) Saka (10) Diaz (8) Estupinan (7) Joao Pedro (7) Mitoma (7), and Salah (7).
Also, two-time champ Danny Milton, whose 74 point week was due to captain Haaland (26) Saka (10) Maddison (9) Estupinan (7) Joao Pedro (7), and Martinelli (5). In joint tenth with a 68 point weekly score is Sanjay Beecher, his contributions came from captain Haaland (26) Maddison (9) Estupinan (7) Mbeumo (7) Mitoma (5) Salah (5) and Watkins (5).
Making up the top ten is Timothy Stigwood, whose 68 points came from captain Haaland (26) Leno (12) Saka (10) Wissa (9), and Shaw (5).
Ahhh it’s good to be back. Full steam ahead to week 2. Make it count y’all.
