I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TEN
WEEK 8
This week in the Premier League. Arsenal finally got a win over Man City with a 1-0 victory at the Emirates. Man Utd scored two stoppage-time goals to beat Brentford 2-1 at home. 10-man Spurs got a 1-0 win at Luton.
Chelsea brushed Burnley aside 4-1 away. Everton eased past Bournemouth 3-0 at home. Fulham eased past Sheff Utd 3-1 at home.
Brighton drew 2-2 at home with Liverpool. West Ham drew 2-2 at home with Newcastle. Aston Villa drew 1-1 at Wolves, and Forest played out a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace.
In the ITYFL, my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, remains on top for a second week, thanks to his very decent free hit, 59 point weekly score. His contributions came from Isak (13) Hwang (10) Gabriel (8) Anderson (6) Trippier (6), and Watkins (5).
Moving up to second, just 22 points off the top spot, is this week’s Highest Scorer flying the flag for USA & JA Sanjay Beecher, due to an excellent 62 point week. Thanks to Salah (15) Van de Ven (15) Pickford (9) Neto (5), and Watkins (5).
Owen Barnes moves down to third due to his wildcard weekly score of 46 points, with captain Son (6) Saliba (7) Maddison (6) Pedro Porro (6) Trippier (6) and Watkins (5). Just a point behind in fourth is ahem Charles Denton, following his 50 point week due to captain Son (6) Jensen (10) Anderson (6) Trippier (6) Udogie (6) and Darwin (5).
Up into fifth is Simon Sebhat, thanks to his 52 point weekly score. His main contributions came from (in Saka’s absence) vice-captain Salah (30), Saliba (7) and Watkins (5). In joint fifth, is my coaching partner Francis Norville, following his 41 point week. Due to Salah (15) Saliba (7) Trippier (6) and Watkins (5).
The first of this week’s trio of Highest Movers is my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie. He moved up three places from 10th to 7th, thanks to his 53 point weekly score, due to the likes of captain Watkins (10) Salah (15) White (9) Vicario (7) and Neto (5). My blood brother Wayne Watson also moved up, into eighth place, following his 42 point week, with contributions from Salah (15) Saliba (7) and Maddison (6).
Former champ, champ Danny Milton, is the second of this week’s trio of Highest Movers, as he moved up three places from 11th to joint 9th, following his 43 point weekly score. Due to captain Maddison (12) Trippier (6) Udogie (6), and Wissa (5). Also in joint ninth is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson, who had a weekly score of 42 points, following contributions from Isak (13) Anderson (6) and Maddison (6).
The third of this week’s Highest Movers is Tommy Lee, who moved up three places from 18th to 15th due to his decent 53 point week. Thanks to Sterling (16) Gabriel (8) Maddison (6) Trippier (6), and Watkins (5).
