This week in the Premier League, Man City strolled past Man Utd at Old Trafford 3-0 in the Manchester derby. Arsenal brushed Sheff Utd aside 5-0 at home. Brentford made it three Stamford Bridge wins from three as they stunned Chelsea 2-0.
Everton got a very credible 1-0 away win at West Ham. Spurs continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace. Liverpool strolled past Notts Forest 3-0 at home. Aston Vil eased past Luton 3-1 at home.
Bournemouth got a much-needed 2-1 win at home to Burnley. Wolves drew 2-2 at home to Newcastle, and Fulham drew 1-1 at Brighton.
In the ITYFL, Owen Barnes is now the new league leader, thanks to a decent 76 point weekly score. Due to the likes of captain Son (20) Haaland (16) Diaby (13) Saliba (7) Maddison (6), and Cash (5).
My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, moves down to second, just six points behind, following his 63 point week. His contributions came mainly from captain Haaland (36) Diaby (13), and Saka (13).
Former champ, ahem, Charles Denton, moves up to third due to his very decent weekly score of 83 points. Thanks to, in Odegaard’s absence, vice captain Haaland (36) Darwin (10) Son (10) Calvert-Lewin (9) Douglas Luiz (7) and Ederson (7).
This sees Sanjay Beecher down to fourth, following his 64 point weekly score. Due to contributions from captain Salah (16) Haaland (16) Maddison (6) Cash (5) Neto (5), and Pickford (5).
Storming up into fifth is October manager of the month, my blood brother Wayne Watson, with a superb 98 point week, making him this week’s Highest Scorer with the highest weekly score this season. Doing the business was captain Haaland (36) Pinnock (15) Ferguson (8) Salah (8) Alisson (7) Saliba (7) Maddison (6) Saka (6), and Cash (5).
Down into sixth is my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie, despite his decent 76 point weekly score. Due to Haaland (16) Mbeumo (13) Salah (8) Saka (6) Tsimikas (6) White (6) and Neto (5). Also moving down, my coaching partner Francis Norville is in seventh, following his 69 point week, with contributions mainly from captain Haaland (32) Semenyo (9) Salah (8) Saliba (7) and Saka (6).
Moving up into eighth, thanks to an excellent weekly score of 91 points (the joint fourth best this season), is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson. Doing the business was captain Haaland (32) Diaby (13) Mbeumo (13) Maddison (6) Ruben (6) Saka (6), and Cash (5).
In joint eighth, is former champ, champ Danny Milton, following his relatively disappointing weekly score of 59 points. Due to Haaland (16) Son (10) Douglas Luiz (7) Maddison (6) Saka (6), and Cash (5). But he will be upset at leaving Mbeumo on the bench.
Moving down, but making up the top ten is Simon Sebhat, following his modest 61 point week. With contributions mainly from captain Saka (12) Haaland (16) Salah (8) Ederson (7) Saliba (7), and Cash (5). This week’s Highest Mover was Washington DC’s, Greg Cabana. He moved up five places from 16th to 11th due to a very decent 83 point week. Thanks to captain Haaland (32) Pinnock (15) Salah (8) Walker (8) Saka (6). and Neto (5).
Full steam ahead to week 11. Make it count y’all.
