I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON ELEVEN

WEEK 9

This week in the Premier League, Chelsea defeated Newcastle 2-1 at home. Brentford came from two goals down and being pegged back to 3-3 to eventually score a late winner to sink 10-man Ipswich 4-3 at home. Liverpool came back twice to draw 2-2 at Arsenal.

Man City eased past Southampton at home 1-0, Crystal Palace eased past Tottenham 1-0, Notts Forest beat Leicester 3-1 away, and West Ham got a very late, controversial penalty to beat Man Utd 2-1 at home, signalling the end of Eric Ten Hag.

Wolves scored two late goals, including a very late equaliser to draw 2-2 at Brighton. Bournemouth also got a very late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Aston Villa, while Everton also got a very late equaliser to draw 1-1 at home to Fulham.

In the ITYFL, sitting pretty at the top of the table with a healthy 48 point lead is my youngest son and former champ, Latrell Oscar. He notched a weekly score of 49 points due to captain Haaland (12) Palmer (10) Jackson (9), and Lewis (6).

The defending three-time champ Danny Milton, remains in second, slowly chipping away at that lead with his weekly score of 52 points. Following captain Haaland (12) Mbeumo (15) Palmer (10), and Lewis (6).

My blood brother Wayne Watson is right back in the conversation, just three points behind in third, thanks to his decent 60 point week. With captain Haaland (12) Wood (13) Salah (10) Welbeck (7) Guehi (6), and Smith Rowe (6).

This week’s Highest Scorer is Owen Barnes, who’s excellent 76 point weekly score moves him up into fourth place. Doing the business was triple captain Haaland (18) Palmer (10) Salah (10) Gvardiol (9) Beto (7) Digne (7) Welbeck (7), and Smith Rowe (6).

Staying in fifth, flying the flag for JA & USA is Sanjay Beecher. He had a very decent weekly score of 71 points, following a brave and smart captain choice of Mbeumo (30), Salah (10) Vardy (8) Haaland (6) and Lewis (6). This sees Timothy Stigwood move down to sixth, due to a 57 point week, with captain Haaland (12) Palmer (10) Saka (9) Vardy (8) Welbeck (7) and Diaz (5).

My daughter, The OG Nae, continues to have an impressive debut season as she remains in seventh, also with a 57 point weekly score, due to captain Haaland (12) Wood (13) Salah (10) Saka (9) and Akanjo (6). Two-time champ Jeff Franklin stays in eighth, losing ground slightly, following his modest 40 point week. With contributions from captain Haaland (12) Saka (9), and Lewis (6).

This week’s Highest Mover is my former work colleague and Arsenal man Mr James. He moved up six places from 15th to 9th, thanks to a very decent weekly score of 71 points. Doing the business was captain Palmer (20) Mbeumo (15) N.Jackson (9) Saka (9) Lewis (6), and Diaz (5).

Just sneaking into the top ten via one point is Nordin Gharib, following his 66 point weekly score. His contributions came from triple captain Haaland (18) Wood (13) Palmer (10) Salah (10) and Smith Rowe (6).

Full steam ahead to week 10 make it count y’all.
