The 2013 World Championships are over for another two years. Although it was a success on the field with some memorable performances, it wasn’t a commercial success with many Russian spectators staying away.
The games didn’t quite capture the publics imagination as it did for previous games or the Olympics in London last years. On top of that there were also a few controversial, political issues in terms of Russian law that should never be associated with sport that overshadowed the games.
Nevertheless it seem to all run relatively smoothly, all roads lead to Beijing in 2015.
