Bio: When it comes to ball playing midfielders this Spaniard is certainly up there. He can play anywhere across the midfield, on either wing and is equally adept and comfortable on both feet.
I generally preferred to play him behind the strikers, where he loved to play defense splitting through balls. He really is a strikers dream with his accurate passing.
Obviously he had a decent amount of assists per season but what was great about him is he had a knack at arriving late in the box to score goals.
He was a regular Spanish international but in the end I only had him for four season’s as I couldn’t resist Atletico Madrid offering £26m for him.
