I Tell Yah Invitational League
SEASON FOUR
Week 1
The new Premier League season has really started like a house of fire. So Obviously, the fourth edition of the I Tell Yah Invitational League (ITYIL) has followed suit with some big first week scores. Debut boy Joe Hilditch tops the week one table by 8 points. Helped by a 20 point captain contribution from Morata, with his assist and goal. Also Salah and Firmino both scoring and assisting. A goal from Rooney on his return to Everton and a solid defence of Kompany, Naughton, Alderweireld all racking up clean sheet points.
In second comes Jeff Franklin, an (ITYIL) ever present. Who was helped by a massive 26 points from captain Lukaku on his Man Utd debut. As well as Rooney, Lacazette, Mane, Alli, Fernandinho and Naughton all pulling their weight with points. in Third comes another (ITYIL) debut Ibrahim Gullu (I call him Bryan Robson) who may feel hard done by at captain Kane’s 2 points. However, the aforementioned Lukaku, Rooney and Salah. As well as Eriksen in midfield with two assists and Everton’s Keane at the back contributed.
Completing the champions league places in joint fourth is another debut man Lee Barratt and my right hand man, partner in crime Tyrone Brown. Lee’s main contributor came from captain Aguero’s 18 points. Along with Alli and Mane in midfield and a solid defensive quarter of Luiz, Jageilka, Bailey and keeper Ben Foster.
On the other hand. Tyrone’s contributions came from a smart captain choice of Lukaku racking up 26 points for his team. Alli in midfield. As well as Foster in goal. Alderweireld, as mentioned previously. Also Bertrand and Baines at the back.
A point outside the Champions League places comes Mr old skool, Super Sunday afternoon’s on Kool FM himself (my DJ) Pressure X. He also captained Lukaku. As well as Eriksen, Pogba and Man City new boys Walker and Ederson providing points. One point behind is last season’s runner-up Emmanuel Ogana. Who was helped by captain Aguero’s 18 points and Firmino upfront. As well as Eriksen, Redmond and Mane……
That’s it for this week. It’s still early days. A reminder to all those who didn’t have a good start. It’s a marathon not a sprint. However, it’s always good to have the points in the bag so get a move on (me included) On to week two y’all…..
