Bio: Right off the bat. I will say he doesn’t have a best position. I generally played him behind the front two, but started off playing him left attacking midfield.
However, during his career, I also got good return from playing him as part of a front three on the left. That said, he plays on the left and is left footed, but is very decent with his right. Which is part of his appeal as wherever he plays, he can go both ways.
Can dribble past players but can also pick a pass. He has that typical Portuguese attacking flair and loves to play one, two’s with team mates to create chances. I would say he doesn’t score as much goals as I would like, but does get on the score sheet and always has a good assist record.
One of the biggest surprises is he puts in a shift in defence, tracks back and makes tackles, which is very rare for such a flair player. A further bonus is he takes corners and the occasional free kick.
He may start the game slow, as he is a teenager when the game begins. However, as he develops, after a few seasons in the game, he will be one of the main contributors of every team he plays in and this is including the Portugal national team.
