I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON FIVE
WEEK 9
This week in the Premier League. Man City trounced Burnley 5-0 at home. Cardiff got their first win with a thrilling 4-2 victory over Fulham. Watford was impressive beating Wolves 2-0 away. Arsenal were also impressive beating Leicester 3-1 at home. Everton left it late to beat Palace 2-0 at home. Brighton beat Newcastle 1-0 away. Spurs beat West Ham by the same score in the Olympic Stadium as did Liverpool at Huddersfield. Chelsea snatched a last-minute equaliser against Man Utd to make it 2-2 and the south coast derby with Bournemouth and Southampton ended 0-0.
In a poor week for the ITYIFL. Halifa S S remains on top, extending a lead that was once single digits to double figures. Despite a very modest weekly total of 39 points thanks to captain Aguero (12) Mitrovic (5) B.Silva (6) and Laporte (6).
My Arsenal mate Mr James remains in second and will be disappointed with his calculated gamble to sacrifice 12 points on transfers, which in the end, only gave him a weekly score of 42. His contributions came mainly from captain Aguero (12) Mendy (10) and Robertson (8). Newcomer Simon Sebhat remains in third with a weekly score of 33. Where he can only really thank Robertson (8) Trippier (6) and Ederson (6).
Yours Truly makes up the Champions League places. I scored a modest 35 points this week with the likes of captain Aguero (12) Sane (7) and B.Silva providing in real points. Up into fifth, thanks to a wildcard week that brought him 40 points is another newcomer Sanjay Beecher. He can thank the likes of Aguero (6) Schurrle (7) Van Dijk (8) and Bellerin (7).
Down into sixth is Lee Barratt, who will be very disappointed with a weekly score of 29. Where his only real points contribution came from his triple captain Aguero (18). Up into seventh, moving five places from 12th, making him this weeks joint Highest Mover thanks to the second highest score of the week with 63 is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson. He can thank his triple captain Aguero (18) Mitrovic (5) Pereyra (8) Robertson (8) Cathcart (6) S.Cook (6) and Alisson (6).
Down into eighth place is my oldest son Romario Martin, who will be extremely disappointed with his weekly score of 27 points. With the only real contributions coming from captain Kane (4) Trippier (6) and Ederson (6). Ahm Charles Denton remains in ninth, with a decent, given the circumstances weekly score of 42 points. Doing the business was captain Aguero (12) Salah (8) Laporte (6) and Ederson (6).
Down into tenth, but maintaining his perennial top ten place is Danny Milton with a disappointing weekly total of 25 points. Where only captain Kane (4) and Ederson (6) contributed any real points. This weeks Highest Scorer was my youngest son and last seasons champion Latrell Miles, with a tremendous weekly score of 66 points. This was thanks to captain Aubameyang (24) Mitrovic (5) Bellerin (7) Sanchez (6) Laporte (6) and Lloris (8).
This weeks other joint Highest Mover. Thanks to a weekly score of 60 points, which allowed him to move five places from 24th to 19th is Timothy Stigwood. Doing the business was captain Salah (16) Aguero (6) Pereyra (8) Schurrle (7) and Pickford (15).
Full steam ahead to week 10 ya’ll
