I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON FIVE
WEEK 16
Apologies to all, as due to unforeseen circumstances I missed week 15 where the notable games were Wolves upsetting Chelsea 2-1 and Man Utd’s thrilling 2-2 draw with Arsenal. As for this week in the Premier League. Chelsea handed Man City their first defeat of the season with a 2-0 win. Liverpool destroyed Bournemouth away 4-0. Man Utd destroyed Fulham at home 4-1. West Ham beat Palace at home 3-2. Spurs beat Leicester away 2-0. Wolves left it very late to beat Newcastle 2-1. Arsenal left it late to beat Huddersfield 1-0. Burnley beat Brighton by the same score. As did Cardiff over Southampton. Also, Everton left it very late to snatch a 2-2 draw with Watford.
In the ITYIFL. My Arsenal mate Mr James assumed some dominance and tightened his grip on top, with a superb weekly score of 82 points. Thanks to captain Aubameyang (10) Filipe Anderson (12) Torreira (11) Richarlison (7) Robertson (11) Digne (10) Kalasinac (8) and Doherty (7).
Halifa S S remains in second, but losing ground on the top spot despite a decent weekly score of 69 points. Due to captain Aubameyang (10) Kamara (5) Salah (21) Pereyra (8) Richarlison (7) Doherty (7) and Alisson (6). Ahm Charles Denton remains comfortable in third place with a very respectable weekly score of 62 points. With points contributions from captain Aubameyang (10) Rashford (14) Salah (21) and Richarlison (7).
Yours Truly remains in the Champions League places….Just, following a very disappointing weekly score of 48 points. Where my only real contributions came from Digne (10) Pereyra (8) Richarlison (7) Doherty (7) and Alonso (6). Hot on my heels and moving up to fifth place is newcomer Simon Sebhat with a decent weekly score of 66 points. Where he can thank the likes captain Hazard (18) Firmino (9) Aubameyang (5) Kante (9) Robertson (11) and Bellerin (6).
Down into sixth place is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson with a weekly score of 55 points. Due to contributions from in Aguero’s absence. Vice Captain Hazard (18) Pereyra (8) Robertson (11) Alonso (6) and Alisson (6). Moving up into seventh is last seasons runner up Greg C. With a superb weekly score of 79 points. Due to contributions from captain Salah (42) Torreira (11) and Robertson (11).
Down into eighth place is (I call him Bryan Robson) Ibrahim Gullu. Despite a decent weekly score of 64 points. This was due to points from Son (14) Filipe Anderson (12) Tarkowski (14) Alonso (6) and Hart (7). Also down, into ninth is Tommy Warner, also despite a decent weekly score of 63 points. With contributions from the likes of captain Aubameyang (10) Filipe Anderson (12) Robertson (11) Doherty (7) Rudiger (6) Alonso (6) and Van Dijk (6).
Moving up to sneak into the top ten with a very decent weekly score of 71 points is Owen Barnes. He can thanks the likes of captain Hazard (18) Filipe Anderson (12) Pereyra (8) Richarlison (7) and Robertson (11). This weeks Highest Scorer with a monumental weekly score of 99 points, the highest weekly score of the season so far, is another newcomer Sanjay Beecher. Doing the business was captain Salah (42) Aubameyang (5) Filipe Anderson (12) Torreira (11) Hazard (9) Richarlison (7) and Doherty (7).
And it’s full steam ahead to week 17 ya’ll…..
