I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON FIVE
WEEK 18
This week in the Premier League, it was very much a day for the away teams. Crystal Palace shocked one and all to beat Man City at the Etihad 3-2. Spurs went to Everton and destroyed them 6-2. Leicester went to Chelsea and beat them 1-0. Liverpool beat Wolves away 2-0. Man Utd destroyed Cardiff in Wales 5-1. Watford beat West Ham away 2-0 and Southampton beat Huddersfield away 3-1. Also, Arsenal beat Burnley at home 3-1. Bournemouth beat Brighton at home 2-0. With Newcastle and Fulham playing out a 0-0 draw for Fulham’s first clean sheet of the season.
In the ITYIFL. In keeping with the thrilling season we are having so far, the Christmas N01 spot is shared. However, due to a better weekly score. Halifa S S claims top spot due to a superb weekly score of 74 points. This was thanks to the likes of Van Dijk (15) Aubameyang (13) Salah (12) Pereyra (12) Alisson (9) and Richarlison (5).
That meant My Arsenal mate Mr James had to be content with second due to an inferior but still decent weekly score of 66 points, due to the likes of Son (21) Kane (15) Rashford (6) Kolasinac (6) and Robertson (6). Moving up into third is newcomer Simon Sebhat with a respectable weekly score of 56 points. With contributions from Van Dijk (15) Aubameyang (13) Chilwell (6) and Robertson (6).
Down into fourth place, making up the Champions League places is ahm Charles Denton. His weekly score of 52 points was thanks to points from captain Salah (24) Alisson (9) Rashford (6) and Richarlison (5). Ominously moving up into fifth place from ninth, making him this weeks joint Highest Mover thanks to a brilliant weekly score of 78 points. Which also made him this weeks Highest Scorer, is (I call him Bryan Robson) Ibrahim Gullu. This was due to contributions from the likes of captain Kane (30) Son (21) Townsend (9) and Holebas (9).
In sixth place is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson following a weekly score of 51 points. This was contributed from the likes of Pereyra (12) Alisson (9) Steve Cook (7) Robertson (6) and Cathcart (6). Down into seventh, with a disastrous weekly score of 38 points, and to be fair, in the midst of a terrible run of form lately is Yours Truly. My only real contributors this week were Salah (12) Lacazatte (5) and Richarlison (5).
Up into eighth place, with a very decent weekly score of 74 points, thanks to a well-timed wildcard week is Tommy Warner. He can thank the likes of captain Aubameyang (26) Van Dijk (15) Salah (12) and Robertson (6). Down into ninth, due to disappointing weekly score of 46 points, is last seasons runner-up Greg C. With contributions only from Salah (12) Foster (11) Milivojevic (10) and Robertson (6).
Making up the top ten, by way of just four points, is my youngest son and champion two seasons ago Latrell Miles. With a very disappointing weekly score of 32 points, where only Aubameyang (13) and Richarlison (5) provided significant points. This weeks other joint Highest Mover was my youngest nephew, the young actor himself Tahj Miles. He moved four places from 17th to 13th, due to a weekly score of 67 points, with contributions from captain Salah (24) Aubameyang (13) Alisson (9) Maguire (6) and Richarlison (5).
We are now entering the busiest time in the football calendar. Make it count ya’ll.
