I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON FIVE
WEEK 20
This week in the Premier League. Liverpool destroyed Arsenal 5-1 at home. Wolves shocked everyone by going to Wembley to defeat Spurs 3-1 after being a goal down. Man City beat Southampton 3-1 away. Man Utd beat Bournemouth 4-1 at home. Cardiff shocked Leicester to beat them 1-0 away. Brighton beat Everton at home by the same score. Burnley surprised in-form West Ham to beat them 2-0 at home. Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 1-0 away. Fulham beat Huddersfield 1-0 at home. With Watford and Newcastle playing out a 1-1 draw.
In the ITYIFL. Halifa S S remains on top spot going into 2019, however the lead has been cut considerably. Nevertheless, a disappointing weekly score of 45 points was enough to remain the one everyone is looking up to still. This was mainly, and solely due to the contributions of captain Salah (24) as no other player scored more than 3 points.
My Arsenal mate Mr James took full advantage this week to close the gap to just seven points, with a decent weekly score of 62 points. Doing the business was captain Kane (12) Pogba (18) Rashford (11) Sterling (6) and Son (5). Moving up into third is ahm Charles Denton, with a decent weekly score of 59 points. This was thanks to captain Salah (24) Rashford (11) and Sterling (6).
Down into fourth is newcomer Simon Sebhat with a not too shabby weekly score of 53 points, thanks to the likes of captain Son (10) Firmino (17) and Kante (10). Ominously moving up into fifth place from ninth, making him this weeks joint Highest Mover is last years runner-up Greg C, with an impressive weekly score of 66 points. Thanks to captain Salah (24) David Luiz (12) Jimenez (8) Mitrovic (7) and Aguero (5).
Down into sixth with a weekly score of 46 points is (I call him Brian Robson) Ibrahim Gullu. With contributions from captain Kane (12) Tarkowski (6) Aguero (5) and Son (5). Also down, into seventh place is Tommy Warner also with a disappointing 44 points. Where his contributions came from Salah (12) Azplilicueta (6) Son (5) Doherty (5) and Alonso (5).
Up into eighth is another newcomer Sanjay Beecher, with a very decent weekly total of 65 points. Which was mainly down to captan Salah (24) Pogba (18) and Jimenez (8). Down into ninth place is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson, with a very disappointing weekly score of 35 points, with only captain Aguero (10) Mitrovic (7) and Alonso (5) providing any significant points.
Yours Truly just makes up the top ten also with a disappointing weekly score of 46 points. I will be happy to see the back of December, where it seems I have been in free-fall. My only real contributions this week came from captain Son (10) Salah (12) Bernardo Silva (7) and Alonso (5). This weeks Highest Scorer was Kool FM’s Pressure X. With a weekly score of 73 points. This was thanks to the likes of captain Salah (24) Pogba (18) Jimenez (8) Son (5) Doherty (5) and Alonso (5).
This weeks other joint Highest Mover is Timothy Stigwood. Whose decent weekly score of 64 points moved him up four places from 18th to 14th, thanks to points contributions from captain Salah (24) Firmino (17) Son (5) and Doherty (5).
One half of the season done. Happy New Year to one and all. Second half of the season is under way. Wishing everyone a fun, happy, prosperous and points filled 2019. Only two days to week 21. Make it count ya’ll.
