WEEK 23
This week in the Premier League. Arsenal brushed aside Chelsea 2-0 in the London derby. Wolves beat Leicester 4-3 at home due to a last minute goal. Surprisingly, Liverpool beat Palace by the same score. Man City eased past Huddersfield away 3-0. Spurs needed literally a last second goal to beat Fulham away 2-1. Bournemouth beat West Ham 2-0 at home. Newcastle beat Cardiff 3-0 at home. Southampton beat Everton 2-1 at home. Man Utd beat Brighton by the same score also, Watford and Burnley played out a 0-0 draw.
In the ITYFL. Mr James extended his lead at the top to 40 with a superb weekly score of 77 points. This was thanks to the likes of captain Salah (30) Sane (12) Rashford (8) Pogba (8) Eriksen (6) and Holebas (6).
Halifa S S continues to lead the chasing pack in second, following a weekly score of 57 points. This was largely due to captain Salah (30) Rashford (8) Bennett (6) and Robertson (5). Ahm Charles Denton consolidated his position in third with a massive 80 point week. Doing the business were captain Salah (30) Sterling (10) Wilson (9) Rashford (8) Laporte (6) Tarkowski (6) and Aguero (5).
Just holding onto his Champions League place in fourth is newcomer Simon Sebhat, dispute a disappointing weekly score of 45 points. Where his only real contributors came from captain Robinson (10) Firmino (8) Pogba (8) and Ederson (6). Moving up into fifth due to a weekly score of 58 points is Tommy Warner. This was mainly due to captain Salah (30) Rashford (8) and Robertson (5).
Storming up into sixth place with a tremendous weekly score of 81 (one point off the highest scorer) is Lee Barratt. This was thanks to captain Salah (30) Sane (12) Rashford (8) Firmino (8) Pogba (8) Laporte (6) and Bennett (6). Down into seventh is (I call him Bryan Robson) Ibrahim Gullu with a disappointing wildcard weekly score of 44 points. His only real contributors came from captain Aguero (10) Rashford (8) Brooks (6) Holebas (6) and Vardy (5).
Up into eighth place is Kool FM’s Pressure X. With a very decent weekly score of 70 points. Thanks to the likes of captain Salah (30) Rushford (8) Pogba (8) Eriksen (6) and Robertson (5). Last season’s runner up Greg C drops down to ninth, despite a weekly score of 58 points. This was due to contributions from Salah (15) Kiko Femenia (9) Foster (8) Aguero (5) Jimenez (5) Milivojevic (5) and Robertson (5).
Moving up into the top ten with a superb weekly score of 77 points is Timothy Stigwood. This was mainly thanks to triple captain Salah (45) also Rashford (8) and Firmino (8). This weeks Highest Scorer was Paul Jarvis with a much needed 82 points. This was due to contributions from the likes of captain Salah (30) Wilson (9) Rashford (8) Firmino (8) Pogba (8) Steve Cook (7) and Leno (6).
This weeks joint Highest Movers were Natalie Stigwood, whose superb 79 points moved her up three places from 15th to 12th. This was due captain Salah (30) Wilson (9) Rashford (8) Foster (8) Mane (7) Holebas (6) and Laporte (6). Also, my youngest nephew Tahj Miles with a 64 point week, that moved him up three places from 17th to 14th. Thanks to points from captain Salah (30) Sane (12) Rashford (8) and Neves (6).
