WEEK 24

This week in the Premier League, Liverpool continued to break records. They had two away wins beating Wolves 2-1 then West Ham 2-0 to complete wins against every team in the league. Burnley shocked Man Utd beating them 2-0 away. Leicester destroyed West Ham 4-1 at home. Southampton beat Crystal Palace 2-0 away. Man City beat Sheff Utd 1-0 away. Bournemouth beat Brighton 3-1 at home. Aston Villa got a last minute winner to beat Watford 2-1 at home. Spurs beat Norwich at home by the same score. Arsenal survived being a man down in the first half to come back twice to draw with Chelsea 2-2 away. Also, Newcastle scored two goals in stoppage time to draw 2-2 at Everton.

In the ITYIFL, Mr Ever-Present Jeff Franklin has stormed to the top of the table thanks to a mammoth weekly score of 112 points, easily making him this weeks Highest Scorer and recording the second highest score ever in ITYIFL history. This also made him this weeks Highest Mover, as he moved up five places from sixth place. Doing the business was triple captain Salah (48) Alli (13) Alexander-Arnold (12) Stephens (11) Firmino (9) Pukki (8) and De Bruyne (7).

Perennial top ten man Danny Milton moves up into second place, however, on the same points as first, due to a superb 98 point week. This was thanks to the likes of triple captain Salah (48) Alexander-Arnold (12) Son (7) De Bruyne (7) Haller (7) Robertson (7) and Abraham (5). Also moving up, into third is Lee Barratt with a very decent weekly score of 82 points. Thanks to captain Salah (32) Henderson (11) Firmino (9) Van Dijk (8) De Bruyne (7) and Traore (5).

Moving down but still in a Champions League place is my oldest mate Delroy Preddie who will be extremely disappointed giving the circumstances with his return of 41 points this week. His only contributors came from Alexander-Arnold (12) Jimenez (8) and De Bruyne (7). Last season’s runner up Mr James moves up into fifth with a very decent 80 point week. This was due to captain Salah (32) Alexander-Arnold (12) Stephens (11) Martinelli (8) and De Bruyne (7).

Down into sixth place is Washington DC’s Greg C with a very disappointing weekly score of 39 points, where his only real contributions came from Alexander-Arnold (12) Van Dijk (8) and Rico (5). Timothy Stigwood remains in seventh place with a decent weekly score of 65 points. This was due to captain Salah (32) Alexander-Arnold (12) De Bruyne (7) and Abraham (5).

Natalie Stigwood moves down into eighth, due to a very disappointing weekly score of 32 points. With only Firmino (9) Abraham (5) and Calvert-Lewin (5) providing any significant points. Nordin Gharib moves up into ninth place due to a decent wildcard weekly score of 68 points. Thanks to the likes of captain Salah (32) Alexander-Arnold (12) Jorginho (10) and Abraham (5).

Owen Barnes moves down but remains in the top ten due to a weekly score of 53 points. This was due to Alexander-Arnold (12) Pereira (12) Henderson (11) and De Bruyne (7).
