WEEK 27
This week in the Premier League, Man City missed a pen but still beat Leicester away 1-0. Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-1 at home. Liverpool came back from being 2-1 down to beat West Ham 3-2 at home. Arsenal came back from an early goal to beat Everton 3-2 at home. Man Utd brushed aside Watford 3-0 at home. Burnley beat Bournemouth at home by the same score as did Wolves who beat Norwich at home 3-0. Southampton beat Aston Villa 2-0 at home. Crystal Palace beat Newcastle at home 1-0 also, Sheff Utd and Brighton played out a 1-1 draw.
In a relatively low scoring ITYIFL, perennial top ten man Danny Milton remains on top via a mere six points, due to a weekly score of 47 points. His main contributors came from captain Salah (14) Alexander-Arnold (10) Jimenez (5) and Robertson (4).
Mr ever-present Jeff Franklin closes the gap slightly in second, thanks to a 55 point week. This was due to captain Salah (14) Alexander-Arnold (10) Martial (8) Stephens (6) and Calvert-Lewin (6). Last seasons runner up Mr James moves up into third due to a superb wildcard weekly score of 63 points. This was thanks to captain Salah (14) Alexander-Arnold (10) Pope (9) Boly (6) Wan-Bissaka (6) Pepe (5) Jimenez (5).
Lee Barratt moves down into fourth due to a very disappointing weekly score of 32 points, where his only real contributions came from captain De Bruyne (6) Salah (7) and Taylor (6). Timothy Stigwood remains in fifth due to a 45 point week, thanks to captain Salah (14) Alexander-Arnold (10) and Patricio (7).
My oldest mate Delroy Preddie remains in sixth also with a weekly score of 45 points. This was due to captain De Bruyne (6) Alexander-Arnold (10) Guaita (6) Jimenez (5) Ayew (5) and Coady (5). Natalie Stigwood remains in seventh due to a weekly score of 47 points, this was thanks to captain Salah (14) Pope (9) Mahrez (8) and Calvert-Lewin (6).
Washington DC’s Greg C remains in eighth place thanks to a decent 50 point week. This was mainly due to captain Mane (16) Alexander-Arnold (10) and Maupay (9). Nordin Gharib remains in ninth thanks to a very decent weekly score of 66 points, this was due to the likes of captain Salah (14) Aubameyang (13) Stevens (7) Tarkowski (6) Pepe (5) and Jimenez (5).
This weeks Highest Scorer and Highest Mover was Halifa S S who moves up three places from 13th into the top ten, with a superb weekly score of 81 points. Doing the business were captain Fernandes (28) Aubameyang (13) Alexander-Arnold (10) Martial (8) Salah (7) and Wan-Bissaka (6).
On to week 28 with one less fixture due to the Caraboa Cup final….Make it count ya’ll.
