Fantasy Football S6 WEEK 30 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON SIX

WEEK 30

FINALLY! After 100 days and many speculations, rumours, debates and predictions, the Premier League is back, albeit behind closed doors. Naturally, these first few games will not be the same as players get back into their stride but i’m sure everyone is just happy to have a bit of football back.

In the midweek games in hand, Man City rolled over Arsenal 3-0 as David Luiz delivered a horror show in just 25 minutes. Aston Villa drew 0-0 with Sheff Utd who would have won if it wasnt for the goal line technology malfunctioning *rolls eyes*

At the weekend, Man City continued their irresistible post lockdown form by destroying Burnley 5-0 at home. Southampton strolled past Norwich 3-0 away. Brighton left in very late to come from behind to beat Arsenal 2-1 at home to record their first win in 2020. Palace strolled past Bournemouth away 2-0. Wolves also strolled by West Ham away by the same score. Newcastle beat Sheff Utd 3-0 with all the goals coming after Sheff Utd had a man sent off. Chelsea came from behind to beat Aston Villa away 2-1. Man Utd got a late penalty to draw 1-1 at Tottenham. Watford left it even later to equalise Leicesters late goal to draw at home 1-1 and the Merseyside derby ended in a not very exciting 0-0 draw.

In the ITYIFL (that feels so good to type) Danny Milton, who left week 29 with a wafer thin one point lead, has extended that lead considerable, helped by an intelligent bench boost decision to record a superb 119 point week, making him easily this weeks Highest Scorer and congratulations as he recorded the highest ever weekly score in ITYIFL history, beating Greg C’s total by two points. Doing the business was captain De Bruyne (30) Ederson (12) Fernandes (9) Pepe (9) Aguero (8) Target (7) Baldock (7) Lascelles (5) and subs Henderson (13) Lundstram (5) and McGuinn (5).

Mr Ever-Present Jeff Franklin remains in second, he also played a bench boost but didn’t get the desired effect as his four subs scored no points. His 66 point week was due to the likes of captain Aubameyang (8) De Bruyne (15) Fernandes (9) Alexander-Arnold (7) Targett (7) McCarthy (6) and Lundstram (5). Timothy Stigwood remains in third but closed ground on second, with a very decent 92 point week. This was thanks to captain De Bruyne (30) Ings (11) Sterling (10) Jimenez (8) Alexander-Arnold (7) Baldock (7) Patricio (6) and Lundstram (5).

Last season’s runner up Mr James moves up into the Champions League places, with a very decent 98 point week. His contributions came from captain Aguero (16) Mahrez (21) De Bruyne (15) Mings (8) Alexander-Arnold (7) Baldock (7) Leno (6) and Lundstram (5). Lee Barratt moves down one into fifth, despite a decent free hit 91 point week. His contributions came from captain De Bruyne (30) Henderson (13) Sterling (10) Aguero (8) Pepe (8) Mings (8) and Lundstram (5).

My oldest mate Delroy Preddie remains in sixth place thanks to a 77 point week. This was due to the likes of captain De Bruyne (30) Jimenez (8) Alexander-Arnold (7) Coady (6) Guaita (6) Digne (5) and Ayew (5). Another with an intelligent bench boost decision, Washington DC’s Greg C has moved up one place to seventh, thanks to a decent 84 point week. He can thank the likes of captain De Bruyne (30) Ings (11) Alexander-Arnold (7) Van Dijk (6) and sub Lascelles (5).

Natalie Stigwood moves down one into eighth place with a weekly score of 62 points, she also went for a bench boost decision but only accumulated 2 points from the four subs. Her main contributions came from captain De Bruyne (30) Fernandes (9) and Baldock (7). Nordin Gharib moves up one place into ninth, thanks to a decent 80 point week. He can thank captain De Bruyne (30) Fernandes (9) Aguero (8) Pepe (8) Stevens (7) and Lundstram (5)

Halifa S S moves down one but makes up the top ten with a weekly score of 63 points. This is due to contributions from captain Aubameyang (8) Henderson (13) Ings (11) Alexander-Arnold (7) and Stevens (7). This weeks Highest Mover is Yours Truly, in a terrible season for my standards, I moved up three places from 24th to 21st, due to 78 point week, thanks to the likes of captain Aguero (16) Henderson (13) Sterling (10) Fernandes (9)  Saka (7) Alexander-Arnold (7) and Lundstram (5).

It’s a quick turnaround to the midweek games, the matches and game weeks will be coming in thick and fast. We know it’s not the same without the fans, but after three months with nothing, i’m just glad to have fantasy back. See you in week 31 ya’ll.
