Fantasy Football S7 WEEK 1 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON SEVEN

WEEK 1

After the longest season in history and the shortest pre season, the Premier League is back. It was an interesting opening day which saw defending champions get a real scare from the Championship winners as Liverpool just about beat Leeds 4-3 at Anfield. It was a baptism of fire for the other promoted teams as Fulham lost at home 3-0 at Arsenal and WBA also lost at home 3-0 to Leicester. A new look Everton team impressed as they beat Spurs 1-0 away. As did Newcastle who beat West Ham 2-0 away. A new look Chelsea team eventually overcame a plucky Brighton team 3-1 away. Palace beat Southampton 1-0 at home and Wolves beat Sheff Utd 2-0 away with two very early goals.

In the ITYIFL, where getting off to a good start is imperative (I’ll keep my mouth shut)  its ladies first as Natalie Holder, in her second season leads the way and is obviously this weeks Highest Scorer, with a very impressive 74 point opening day score. Doing the business were mainly captain Salah (40) Wilson (8) Aubameyang (7) and Tierney (6).

My Arsenal mate Mr James is second with a decent opening day score of 67 points, thanks to captain Salah (40) Aubameyang (7) and Mitchell (6). In third, also scoring a decent 67 points. Making his ITYIFL debut is my old running mate Derick Fredricks, who can thank the like of captain Salah (40) Vardy (13) and Werner (5).

Making up the Champions League places in fourth is the defending champion Jeff Franklin, who cannot be mad at his 63 point week. This was thanks to contributions from captain Aubameyang (14) Salah (20) Bamford (7) Lascelles (6) and Werner (5). My youngest son and former champion Latrell Oscar is in fifth, thanks to a 60 point week. This was due to captain Aubameyang (14) Digne (12) Coady (8) Wilson (8) and Leno (7).

Washington DC’s Greg C is in sixth, following a 56 point week. His contributions mainly came from captain Aubameyang (14) Salah (20) and Tierney (6). Also on 56 points and in joint sixth, but seventh for the purpose of the top ten is my long time mate Francis Norville. This was due to the likes of captain Aubameyang (14) Vardy (13) Zaha (8) Leno (7) and Werner (5).

A third manager on 56 points and in joint sixth, but eighth for the purpose of the top ten is Nordin Gharib, who can thank captain Aubameyang (14) Willian (14) Tierney (6) Soyuncu (6) and Werner (5). We have just two women in the league and both are in the top, as Natalie Stigwood is in ninth on 54 points. This was thanks to captain Aubameyang (14) Wilson (8) Coady (8) Leno (7) and Werner (5).

Making up the top ten is fittingly, perennial top ten man and last seasons runner up Danny Milton who scored 53 points, thanks mainly to captain Aubameyang (14) Salah (20) and Van Dijk.

Its full steam ahead to week two, as the league gets back into the full swing of things with a full quota of games. Make it count ya’ll
