I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON SEVEN
WEEK 10
This week in the Premier League, Fulham climbed out the relegation zone with a surprising 2-1 away win at Leicester. Man Utd came back from two goals down in the first half, to snatch a dramatic, late 3-2 away win. Man City trounced Burnley 5-0 at home. Wolves confined Arsenal to three home defeats in a row, with a 2-1 win at the Emirates. Leeds also secured an away win, as they beat Everton 1-0 at Goodison. West Ham beat Aston Villa 2-1 at home with the help of VAR. West Brom beat Sheff Utd at home 1-0. Brighton drew 1-1 at home to Liverpool with the help of a last minute VAR penalty. Also, Chelsea and Spurs played out a lacklustre 0-0 at Stamford Bridge.
In the ITYIFL, despite a rather mediocre 43 point week, Lee Barratt, remains at the summit for a fifth consecutive week, although his lead has been cut to a slender 5 points. His main contributions came from captain Calvert-Lewin (4) Grealish (10) Fernandes (10) and Salah (6).
Moving ominously up into second and cutting the lead at the top, is the defending champion Jeff Franklin, with a decent 55 point week. This was thanks to captain Salah (12) Wilson (12) Fernandes (10) and Chilwell (8). My Arsenal mate Mr James moves down into third, following a 46 point week. This was mainly due to captain Salah (12) Grealish (10) and Fernandes (10).
Perennial top ten man Danny Milton remains in a Champions League place, with a weekly score of 49 points. Thanks to captain Vardy (10) Fernandes (10) Jota (9) and Chilwell (8). Proudly flying the flag for the ladies, Natalie Holder remains in fifth, following a decent 55 point week. This was thanks to the likes of captain Fernandes (20) Grealish (10) Gabriel (8) and James (6).
Simon Sebhat remains in sixth place, following a 50 point week. His contributions came from captain Fernandes (20) Grealish (10) James (6) and Mendy (6). Also doing it for the ladies, Natalie Stigwood stays in seventh place, with a weekly score of 47 points. This was due to Grealish (10) Fernandes (10) Jota (9) and James (6).
In an interesting domestic tussle, my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie moves up into eighth, following a 49 point week. This was thanks to Neto (13) Fernandes (10) Mendy (6) and Rashford (5). This sees my youngest son Latrell Oscar move down into ninth, despite a decent 53 point week, with contributions from Wilson (12) Jota (9) Walker (9) and Chilwell (8).
Moving up into the top ten is my oldest mate Delroy Preddie, with a weekly score of 45 points. His only real contributions came from captain De Bruyne (20) and Grealish (10). This weeks Highest Scorer was Kool FM’s Pressure X, with, given the circumstances, an excellent 61 point week. Doing the business were captain Vardy (10) Grealish (10) Fernandes (10) Jota (9) Chilwell (8) and Zouma (5).
This weeks Highest Mover was Washington DC’s Greg C, whose 47 point week moved him up three places from 14th to 11th, just one point off the top ten. This was thanks to captain Salah (12) Jota (9) Bednarek (8) Rashford (5) and Reguilon (5).
Full steam ahead to week 11. Make it count y’all….
