I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON SEVEN
WEEK 19
In this double week in the Premier League. West Brom beat Wolves 3-2 away in the black country derby. Brighton beat Leeds 1-0 away, West Ham beat Burnley 1-0 at home. Chelsea just about beat 10 man Fulham 1-0 away. Leicester eased pass Southampton 2-0 at home. Spurs beat Sheff Utd 3-1 away. Liverpool and Man Utd played out a dire 0-0 at Anfield and Man City brushed Crystal Palace aside 4-0 at home.
Arsenal brushed aside Newcastle 3-0 at home. West Ham beat West Brom 2-1 at home. Leicester were impressive, beating Chelsea 2-0 at home, which ended up being Frank Lampard’s last league game. Man City beat Aston Villa 2-0 at home. Man Utd beat Fulham 2-1 away. Burnley snapped Liverpool’s 68 game, 3 year, unbeaten home record with a 1-0 win at Anfield and Aston Villa eased past Newcastle 2-0 at home.
Phew, so all that led to a record breaking week in the ITYIFL. Lee Barratt not only strengthened his strangle hold at the top of the table, but as this weeks Highest Scorer, his excellent wildcard weekly total of 137 points, is the all time highest score in ITYIFL history, beating the previous total of 119 by some margin. Doing the business were captain De Bruyne (16) Stones (27) Targett (18) Justin (14) Edison (13) C.Robinson (11) Konsa (9) Grealish (8) Fernandes (8) Cavani (8) and Rice (5). This is the first time every player in a team scored five or more points.
In second, with a weekly score of 135 points, also beating the previous record which was held by him, and now sits second in the all time highest scorer list is perennial top ten man Danny Milton. This was thanks to the likes of triple captain Sterling (33) Stones (27) Justin (14) Coufal (12) Cresswell (10) Martinez (9) Kane (9) Fernandez (8) and Son (5). In third is the defending champion Jeff Franklin, whose not too shabby free hit weekly score of 124 points, also beats the previous record and puts him fourth in the all time highest scorer list. Thanks to captain De Bruyne (16) Stones (27) Antonio (18) Barnes (15) Cresswell (10) Shaw (10) Mendy (8) and Fernandes (8).
Moving back up into the Champions League places is my Arsenal mate Mr James, who also surpasses the previous highest score total and now sits fifth in the all time highest scorer list, thanks to a wildcard weekly score of 122 points. This was due to captain Salah (8) Stones (27) Targett (18) Maddison (17) Cresswell (10) Martinez (9) Kane (9) Grealish (8) and Fernandes (8). This sees Natalie Holder move down one into fifth place, following, in any other week, what would have been a very decent 87 points. Her contributions came from triple captain Fernandes (24) Justin (14) Martinez (9) Saka (9) Kane (9) and Robertson (8).
My middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie moves up into sixth place, breaking the 100 point barrier with a superb 102 point week. This was thanks to the likes of triple captain Vardy (12) Stones (27) Justin (14) Martinez (9) Kane (9) Cancelo (8) Fernandes (8) and Chilwell (7). Owen Barnes moves down into seventh with, given the circumstances, a slightly disappointing weekly score of 76 points. His contributions came from captain Fernandes (16) Justin (14) Martinez (9) Konsa (9) Kane (9) De Bruyne (8) and Son (5).
Former champ, ahm Charles Denton moves up into eighth and becomes the fifth person this game week to surpass the previous highest total, with a superb weekly score of 134 points, putting him third in the all time highest scorer list. Doing the business was captain Salah (12) Stones (27) Targett (18) Antonio (18) Justin (14) Ederson (13) Saka (9) Kane (9) and Fernandes (8). Tommy Warner moves down into ninth, despite a very decent bench boost 96 point week. With contributions from captain Kane (18) Pope (13) Cresswell (10) Grealish (8) Fernandes (8) Chilwell (7) Son (5) and off the bench Coufal (12).
Moving down, but making up the top ten is Washington DC’s Greg C with a weekly score of 83 points. This was due to the likes of captain Sterling (22) Coufal (12) Konsa (9) Saka (9) Kane (9) and Fernandes (8). There is no highest mover this week, as I missed week 18 round up due to the limited games.
Its another quick turnaround with another batch of midweek games, these game weeks are coming in thick and fast…..But whose complaining. Make it count y’all.
