I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON SEVEN
WEEK 36
This, in a reduced Premier League week due to the FA Cup final. Man City beat Newcastle 4-3 away in a thriller. Sheff Utd shocked Everton beating them 1-0 away. Leeds destroyed Burnley 4-0 away. Liverpool got a lifeline with Alisson scoring in the last seconds to win 2-1 at West Brom. Crystal Palace came from behind twice to beat Aston Villa 3-2. Spurs comfortably beat Wolves 2-0 at home. Southampton comfortable beat Fulham 3-1 at home and Brighton drew 1-1 at home to West Ham.
In the ITYIFL, after a bumper week 35, many managers came back down to earth this week. However, this definitely worked in the league leader, Perennial top ten man Danny Milton’s favour, after his 47 point weekly score gives him what seems like an unassailable 100 point lead, with just two games weeks to go. This was thanks to Captain Calvert-Lewin (4) Kane (8) Raphinha (6) Alexander-Arnold (6) Reguilon (6) and Dallas (6).
Lee Barratt loses much ground in second and hope of the title must be dwindling fast. He had a weekly score of 31 points, with contributions only from captain Calvert-Lewin (4) Salah (10) and Watkins (5). Former champ Jeff Franklin closes the gap on second to just six points, thanks to a decent 52 point week, due to the likes of captain Salah (20) Kane (8) Ward-Prowse (6) Dallas (6) and Pereira (5).
Mr James remains in the Champions League places following a weekly score of 43 points, this was due to vice captain Salah (20) Ward-Prowse (6) Dallas (6) and Watkins (5). After his record breaking week 35, my youngest son Latrell Oscar really came back down to earth this week with a disappointing weekly score of just 26 points. His only real contributions came from Kane (8) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Dallas (6).
Former champ ahm Charles Denton remains in sixth and closes the distance on fifth to 21 points due to a decent 47 point week. This was thanks to captain Kane (16) Salah (10) Llorente (6) and Gundogan (5). My middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie also closed the distance on a few above him, thanks to a very decent 58 point weekly score. Doing the business were mainly captain Kane (16) Mitchell (13) Salah (10) and Dallas (6).
Continuing his recent good form, Sanjay Beecher moved up to eighth place with a 50 point week, thanks mainly to captain Kane (16) Eze (10) and Salah (10). Moving down to ninth Natalie Holder could be in fear of finishing out the top ten, undoing all her good work. She scored a relatively decent 45 point week, thanks to captain Kane (16) Alexander-Arnold (6) McGinn (6) Pereira (5) and Watkins (5).
Nordin Gharib remains in the top ten, due to a weekly score of 45 points, with contributions mainly from captain Salah (20) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Dallas (6). This weeks Highest Scorer is Timothy Stigwood with, given the circumstances, an excellent weekly score of 66 points. This also made him this weeks joint Highest Mover, as he moved up two places from 17th to 15th. Doing the business was vice captain Gundogan (10) Mitchell (13) Cancelo (11) Kane (8) Dallas (6) Struijk (6) and Watkins (5).
This weeks other joint Highest Mover was Kool FM’s Pressure X, whose very decent 60 point week moved him up two places from 21st to 19th. His main contributions came from captain Kane (6) Mitchell (13) Salah (10) and Dallas (6).
Just two more game weeks to go, with midweek games and the season ending on the weekend. Make it count y’all.
