I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON EIGHT
WEEK 2
This week in the Premier League, Chelsea and Lukaku cruised past Arsenal 2-0 away. West Ham with the aid of a sending off brushed past Leicester 4-1 at home. Man City bounced back from defeat to destroy Norwich 5-0 at home. Liverpool were comfortable beating Burnley 2-0 at home. Villa beat Newcastle at home by the same score with an Ings wonder strike. Brighton have a 100% record after beating Watford 2-0 at home. Spurs also have a 100% record, thanks to a penalty that helped new manager Nuno beat his old team Wolves 1-0 away. Southampton held Man Utd at home 1-1. Leeds drew at home to Everton 2-2 and Viera got his first Premier League point with a 0-0 draw at home to Brentford.
In the ITYIFL, defending champ Danny Milton is again proving the man to beat, as he continued where he left off last season, leading the pack. He scored a very decent weekly score of 72 points, to open up a seven point lead. He can thank the likes of captain Salah (6) Antonio (16) Alexander-Arnold (12) Tsimikas (11) Ings (8) and Sanchez (6).
Not that far behind in second is Sanjay Beecher, now with a few season’s under his belt and hoping to mount a challenge. He was this weeks Highest Scorer with an excellent 82 point week. Doing the business were captain Salah (6) Antonio (16) Benrahma (12) Alexander-Arnold (12) Tsimikas (11) Ings (8) and Sanchez (6). Nordin Gharib is also not that far behind in third, following a very decent weekly score of 71 points. This was due to Antonio (16) Alexander-Arnold (12) Tsimikas (11) Raphinha (7) Calvert-Lewin (7) and Sanchez (6).
Moving up into the Champions League places is Yours Truly. I scored a decent wildcard weekly score of 63 points, thanks to captain Mahrez (12) Tsimikas (11) Lukaku (8) Bissouma (8) Mendy (8) and Dier (6). Just a few points behind in fifth, is my youngest son Latrell Oscar, who scored a decent wildcard weekly score of 60 points. His contributions came from captain Salah (6) Antonio (16) Benrahma (12) Tsimikas (11) and Sanchez (6).
The man who finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the last two seasons, Jeff Franklin is in sixth place, following a weekly score of 52 points. This was due to the likes of captain Salah (6) Tsimikas (11) Greenwood (10) Ings (8) and Sanchez (6). My old club mate Darren Ahmet moves up into seventh, following a 54 point weekly score, due to captain Salah (6) Dias (11) Greenwood (10) Alisson (8) Calvert-Lewin (7) and Coufal (5).
Kool FM’s Pressure X moves down into eighth place, due to his weekly score of 50 points. With contribution from captain Salah (6) Antonio (16) Ings (8) Alonso (6) and Martinez (5). Moving up into ninth place is ahm Charles Denton, with a 55 point week, thanks to captain Salah (6) Dias (11) Tsimikas (11) Jota (8) Dunk (6) and Martinez (5).
Just sneaking into the top ten, due to a very decent 67 point week is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana. This was thanks to captain Salah (6) Antonio (16) Alexander-Arnold (12) Dias (11) and Sanchez (6). This weeks Highest Mover was my oldest mate Delroy Preddie, who moves up a massive ten places from 25th to 15th, thanks to a decent 61 point weekly score. With contributions from captain Ings (16) Alexander-Arnold (12) Gray (9) Walker (6) and Martinez (5).
