Fantasy Football S9 WEEK 17 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON NINE

WEEK 17

This game week in the Premier League, Arsenal stretched their lead at the top with an impressive 4-2 win at Brighton. Aston Villa was also impressive as they beat Tottenham 2-0 away. Brentford heaped more misery on West Ham as they also won 2-0 away. Man Utd edged past Wolves with a 1-0 away win. Fulham beat Southampton 2-1 at home. Liverpool needed two own goals to beat Leicester 2-1 at home. Everton surprised all by getting a 1-1 draw at Man City. Notts Forest also did well to get a 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea, and Newcastle surprisingly drew 0-0 at home with Leeds.

In the ITYIFL, Natalie Stigwood did well to stretch her lead at the top of the table to 45 points due to a very decent 65 point week. This was thanks to captain Haaland (12) Martinelli (10) Shaw (9) Nketiah (8) Trippier (8) Pope (6) and Rashford (5).

Double champ Danny Milton remains in second place following his weekly score of 53 points. His contributions came from captain Haaland (12) Martinelli (10) Trippier (8) Botman (6) and Rashford (5). Just five points behind in third is former champ Jeff Frankin with a 51 point weekly score. This was due to captain Haaland (12) Martinelli (10) Trippier (8) Darwin (5) and Rashford (5).

Just three points behind, making up the Champions League places, is my recent former work colleague, Abdul Rahman, following his 53 point weekly score. Following contributions from captain Haaland (12) Trippier (8) Gross (6) Saka (6) Schar (6) and Rashford (5). In fifth and slightly closing the distance on fourth is Yours Truly. I had a decent 60 point week, thanks to captain Haaland (12) Martinelli (10) Wan-Bissaka (9) Trippier (8) Saka (6) and Rashford (5).

Remaining in sixth is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, following a weekly score of 55 points. This was due to captain Haaland (12) Shaw (9) Trippier (8) Guaita (7) Saka (6) and Rashford (5). In joint sixth, but seventh for the purpose of this is Philippines native Jean Ninal, who was this week’s Highest Scorer with a superb 74 point weekly score. Doing the business was captain Haaland (12) Odegaard (13) Martinelli (10) Shaw (9) Trippier (8) Guaita (7) Andreas (5) and Rashford (5).

This sees Sanjay Beecher move down to eighth following his 52 point week. His contributions came from captain Darwin (10) Martinelli (10) Trippier (8) Haaland (6) Rashford (5). After a few modest weeks, my coaching partner Francis Norville is back on track as he moved up to ninth with a very decent 68 point weekly score. Thanks to captain Haaland (12) Odegaard (13) Toney (12) Martinelli (10) Trippier (8) and Pope (6).

Moving down but making up the top ten by five points is another former work colleague, my Spurs mate (not very happy at the moment) Keith Wilson. He scored a modest 42 point weekly score, his contributions were mainly from captain Haaland (12) Trippier (8) Mee (6) and Saka (6). This week’s Highest Mover was Timothy Stigwood, whose very decent 62 point week moved him up five places from 19th to 14th. Thanks to captain Haaland (12) Martinelli (10) Trippier (8) Pope (6) Saka (6) Schar (6) Andreas (5) and Rashford (5).

It’s another quick turnaround starting with today’s game, so make it count y’all.
