I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON EIGHT
WEEK 12
This week in the Premier League, Watford trounced Man Utd 4-1 at home, even after missing two pens, which cost Ole his job. Chelsea brushed Leicester aside 3-0 away. Liverpool gave Arsenal their customary drubbing at Anfield beating them 4-0. Wolves surprised West Ham, beating them 1-0 at home. Steven Gerrard got his Villa career off with a good win as his team beat Brighton 2-0 at home. Antonio Conte got his first home win as Spurs beat Leeds 2-1. Dean Smith also started his Norwich career well as his team beat Southampton 2-1 at home. Brentford drew at Newcastle 3-3 in a thriller and Burnley also drew 3-3 at home with Crystal Palace in another thriller.
In the ITYIFL, some managers really came back from the international break with a bang, including, as usual, the league leader and defending champion Danny Milton. He scored a superb 64 point weekly score, to extend his lead at the top to 62 points. This was thanks to the likes of Alexander-Arnold (15) Cancelo (12) Chilwell (9) Salah (8) and Jimenez (8).
My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar remains in second, following his weekly score of 49 points. His contributions came from Rudiger (14) Salah (8) Van Dijk (6) Cucurella (5) and Gallagher (5). Just 10 points behind in third is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, also with a weekly score of 49 points. This was mainly due to captain Salah (16) Alexander-Arnold (15) and Cash (5).
Sanjay Beecher remains in the Champions League places thanks to a decent 54 point week. This was again mainly due to captain Salah (16) Alexander-Arnold (15) and Coady (6). Another former champ Jeff Franklin, remains in fifth following his weekly score of 50 points, with contributions from captain Ronaldo (10) Chilwell (9) Salah (8) Jimenez (8) and Gallagher (5).
My coaching partner Francis Norville remains in sixth place, thanks to his decent 51 point weekly score. This was due to the likes of captain Salah (16) Cancelo (12) Toney (6) Sarr (5) and Ronaldo (5). My right-hand man Tyrone Brown remains in seventh, due to a very decent 61 point week, this was thanks to captain Salah (16) James (12) Bernardo (8) Martinez (6) Laporte (5) and Sarr (5).
The first bit of movement in the top ten sees Nordin Gharib move up to eighth place, due to a very decent wildcard weekly score of 68 points. Thanks to the likes of captain Salah (16) James (12) Saint-Maximin (10) Chilwell (9) Mendy (6) Gallagher (5) and Armstrong (5). Also moving up, to ninth is Owen Barnes with his very decent 66 point week. This was due to the likes of captain Salah (16) Cancelo (12) James (12) Ederson (6) Gallagher (5) and Sarr (5).
This weeks’ Highest Mover, who moved up six places from 16th to sneak into the top ten is Kool FM’s Pressure X, thanks to an excellent 77 point weekly score, which also made him this weeks’ Highest Scorer. Doing the business were captain Salah (16) Cancelo (12) James (12) Chilwell (9) Mendy (6) Van Dijk (6) Gallagher (5) and Ronaldo (5).
Its full steam ahead to week 13, we will have a nice long run as there will be no international break until March. Make it count y’all.
