WEEK 16

This week in the Premier League, Chelsea got a late penalty to get past Leeds 3-2 at home. Liverpool also needed a penalty to beat Aston Villa and the returning Steven Gerrard 1-0 at home. Man City also needed a penalty to beat 10 man Wolves 1-0 at home. Man Utd also got a penalty to get past Norwich 1-0 away. Arsenal cruised past Southampton 3-0 at home. Brentford also got a late penalty to beat Watford 2-1 at home. Leicester destroyed bottom of the table Newcastle at home 4-0 and Crystal Palace beat Everton at home 3-1.

In the ITYIFL, after a short blip, defending champion Danny Milton continues to go from strength to strength at the top of the table, thanks to another very decent weekly score, this time its 71 points. This was due to the likes of captain Salah (16) De Gea (10) Dennis (9) Alexander-Arnold (9) Cancelo (7) Mount (6) Bernardo (6) and Dalot (5).

My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar is showing he is not going anywhere and looking for a title fight, following a very decent 77 point weekly score to close to distance at the top slightly. This was thanks to captain Salah (16) Gallagher (15) Ramsdale (11) Rudiger (9) Dennis (9) Raphinha (7) and Van Dijk (5). Sanjay Beecher solidifies his third-place spot with a decent 68 point weekly score. His contributions came from captain Salah (16) Gallagher (15) Ramsdale (11) Alexander-Arnold (9) Bernardo (6) and Tomiyasu (6).

Washington DC’s Greg Cabana makes up the Champions League places, despite a relatively disappointing 48 point week, with contributions mainly from captain Salah (16) Alexander-Arnold (9) Mbeumo (9) and Dias (5). Former champ Jeff Franklin moves up into fifth, due to a very decent weekly score of 76 points. Thanks to captain Ronaldo (18) Gallagher (15) Dennis (9) Salah (8) Raphinha (7) Cancelo (7) and Tomiyasu (6).

This sees my coaching partner Francis Norville move down one to sixth, although he cannot be too disappointed with a decent 65 point week, this was due to the likes of captain Salah (16) Ramsdale (11) Alexander-Arnold (9) Dennis (9) Cancelo (7) and White (6). In seventh, Owen Barnes continues to make strides to close the distance of the teams above, with another decent weekly score of 69 points. His contributions came from captain Salah (16) Gallagher (15) Gabriel (11) Cancelo (7) Bernardo (6) and Dias (5).

Moving up for her first foray into the top ten, flying the flag for the ladies, Natalie Holder is back amongst as she moved up five places from 13th to 8th making her this week’s Highest Mover, due to a superb 79 point weekly score. This was thanks to the likes of captain Salah (16) Gallagher (15) Alexander-Arnold (9) Rudiger (9) Cancelo (7) and Bernardo (6). This sees my old work colleague Mr James move down to ninth following his not too shabby 68 point week. due to captain Salah (16) Ramsdale (11) Alexander-Arnold (9) Dennis (9) Mount (6) and Bernardo (6).

In joint ninth, but tenth for the purpose of this is Kool FM’s Pressure X, due to his own not too shabby 69 point weekly score. This was thanks to captain Salah (16) Gallagher (15) Dennis (9) Alexander-Arnold (9) Cancelo (7) Bernardo (6) and Van Dijk (5). This week’s Highest Scorer was Lord Ramdhan with an excellent weekly score of 80 points. Doing the business were captain Salah (16) Maddison (16) Alexander-Arnold (9) Dennis (9) Jansson (8) Mount (6) Bernardo (6) and Tomiyasu (6).
