I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON EIGHT
WEEK 25
This week in the premier league, Wolves shocked Spurs, confining them to a third league defeat in a row with 2-0 away win. Man City comfortably beat Norwich away 4-0. Brighton beat struggling Watford away 2-0. Everton strolled past Leeds 3-0 at home. Newcastle beat Aston Villa 1-0 at home. Liverpool just about got past Burnley 1-0 away. Leicester drew at home 2-2 with West Ham. Man Utd drew at home 1-1 with Southampton. Crystal Palace drew at Brentford 0-0. Then in midweek, Man Utd beat Brighton 2-0 at home.
In the ITYIFL, with many mixed fortunes this week, you were doing well if you exceeded the 50 point mark. That was no issue for the defending champion Danny Milton, he seems to be strolling to the title with another respectable weekly score. This time it was 60 points, leaving him a very healthy 109 point lead at the top. This was thanks to captain Pogba (10) Bowen (13) Dalot (8) Sanchez (8) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Coady (6).
My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar continues to put up decent numbers in his quest to make it a title fight following his 61 point week. Thanks to captain Ronaldo (20) Foden (8) Cucurella (7) Robertson (7) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Guaita (6). Sanjay Beecher storms up two places into third place, with an excellent 77 point weekly score, making him this week’s joint Highest Mover. This was due to contributions from captain Fernandes (24) Bowen (13) Dias (10) Maupay (8) Sanchez (8) and Alexander-Arnold (6).
My old work colleague Mr James moves down to fourth, despite his decent 60 point week. This was mainly due to captain Fernandes (24) Bowen (13) Maupay (8) and Alexander-Arnold (6). Also moving down, to fifth, is Natalie Holder who will be disappointed with her weekly score of 43 points, where her only real contributions came from vice-captain Bowen (26) and Alexander-Arnold (6).
Only a point behind, another former champ, Jeff Franklin remains in sixth place, following a 57 point week. This was due to captain Ronaldo (20) Bowen (13) Sanchez (8) and Alexander-Arnold (6). Just a further five points back is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, who remains in seventh, with a not too shabby 65 point weekly score. He can thank the likes of captain Salah (6) Bowen (13) Lamptey (12) Dias (10) Sanchez (8) and Alexander-Arnold (6).
Nordin Gharib remains in eighth place, following a 49 point week, his main contributions came from captain Coutinho (4) Bowen (13) Maguire (9) Sanchez (8) and Alexander-Arnold (6). Moving up into ninth, just three points behind is another former champ ahem Charles Denton, with a 48 point weekly score. This was mainly due to Bowen (13) Dias (10) Shaw (7) Maddison (5) and Rashford (5).
Dropping down, but making up the top ten is Owen Barnes following a 41 point week. With his only real contributions coming from Sterling (18) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Coady (6). This week’s Highest Scorer was my old skool mate Derick Fredericks, with a superb weekly score of 80 points. Doing the business were mainly vice-captain Sterling (36) Bowen (13) Alexander-Arnold (6) Coady (6) and Matip (6).
This week’s other two joint Highest Movers were firstly, Lee Barratt, who moved up two places from 14th to 12th, thanks to a very decent 66 point week. This was due to captain Fernandes (24) Bowen (13) Dias (10) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Guita (6). Secondly, also my old football club mate Darren Ahmet, who moved up two places from 17th to 15th, due to his very decent 75 point weekly score. This was thanks to the likes of captain Fernandes (24) Bowen (13) Dias (10) Sanchez (8) Alexander-Arnold (6) and Mitchell (6).
Full steam ahead to week 26…..Make it count y’all.
