SEASON EIGHT 

WEEK 27

This week in the Premier League, Man City got a 1-0 away win at Everton, thanks to a very dodgy, non VAR call. Spurs destroyed Leeds 4-0 away. West Ham beat Wolves 1-0 at home. Aston Villa beat Brighton 2-0 away. Newcastle beat Brentford 2-0 away. Southampton beat Norwich 2-0 at home. Burnley got a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. Watford got a very credible 0-0 draw at Man Utd and in midweek, Leicester got two late goals to beat Burnley away 2-0.

In the ITYIFL, after the madness of week 25, it was another modest fantasy week to bring everyone back down to earth. This definitely benefits the defending champion Danny Milton as he stays consistent and looks likely to retain his title. He scored a steady 49 point week to keep him a healthy 103 points ahead thanks mainly to captain Weghorst (6) Kane (11) Cancelo (9) and Son (9).

My old work colleague Mr James made up some ground in second, thanks to a decent weekly score of 56 points. His contributions came from captain Fernandes (6) Foster (10) Cancelo (9) Walker-Peters (9) and Digne (6). Former champ Jeff Franklin is really starting to flex his muscles as he moves up to third thanks to a decent free hit 57 point weekly score. This was due to captain Weghorst (6) Kane (11) Cancelo (9) Son (9) Bednarek (6) and Pope (5).

Sanjay Beecher moves down to fourth following a 53 point week with contributions from captain Kane (22) Walker-Peters (9) Adams (6) and Fabianski (6). This week’s Highest Mover was Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, who moves up three places from 8th to 5th, due to a very decent free hit 61 point weekly score. This was thanks to captain Weghorst (6) Kane (11) Son (9) Walker-Peters (9) Livramento (8) and De Gea (6).

Remaining in sixth but losing ground slightly on the above teams is Natalie Holder, following a disappointing weekly score of 36 points. Her only real contributions came from vice-captain Bowen (6) Cancelo (9) Laporte (6) Martinez (5) and Watkins (5). My youngest son Latrell Oscar moves down the seventh and is going through a torrid time in recent weeks with another disappointing weekly score of just 19, with only captain Ronaldo (4) and Foden (7) providing any significant points.

Also moving down, to eighth is Nordin Gharib with a weekly score of 42 points. This was due to captain Weghorst (6) Walker-Peters (9) Cresswell (7) and Pope (5). Lee Barratt moves up to ninth following his decent 48 point week. This was thanks to vice-captain Dias (14) Kane (11) Cancelo (9) and Dier (6).

Another former champ ahem Charles Denton moves down but makes up the top ten following a 42 point weekly score. This was due to captain De Bruyne (6) Dias (7) Laporte (7) Fabianski (6) and Antonio (4). This week’s Highest Scorer was Timothy Stigwood for given the circumstances, a massive free hit 71 point week. Doing the business were captain Kane (22) Cancelo (9) Cresswell (7) Dias (7) Bednarek (6) and Lloris (6).
