I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON EIGHT
WEEK 28
This week in the Premier League, Man City poured more misery on Man Utd by beating them 4-1 at home. Aston Villa destroyed Southampton 4-0 at home. Chelsea scored all their goals in the second half to beat Burnley 4-0 away. Spurs put Everton deeper into trouble by destroying them 5-0 at home. Arsenal beat Watford 3-2 away. Palace beat Wolves 2-0 away. Liverpool got a 1-0 win at home to West Ham. Brentford beat Norwich 3-1 away. Newcastle beat Brighton 2-1 at home and Leicester beat Leeds 1-0 at home.
Then in midweek, Wolves destroyed Watford 4-0 at home. Aston Villa beat Leeds 3-0 away. Chelsea beat Norwich 3-1 away and Newcastle continued their good run by beating Southampton 2-1 away.
In the ITYIFL, just when a few managers thought there was a glimmer of light in the title race, the defending champion Danny Milton slammed that shut with an excellent wildcard weekly score of 108 points, to take a commanding 123 point lead at the top. This was mainly thanks to captain James (36) Coutinho (23) Jimenez (9) Coady (7) Mendy (7) Digne (6) and Rudiger (6).
My old work colleague Mr James remains in second, following an 88 point wildcard week. This was due to captain Salah (6) Coutinho (23) Kane (13) Ait Nouri (9) Jimenez (9) Sa (9) and Robertson (6). Sanjay Beecher moves up to third, thanks to his 91 point weekly score. His contributions came from captain Salah (6) Coutinho (23) Kane (13) Alexander-Arnold (12) Saka (12) Kulusevski (10) and Coady (7).
Moving up into a Champions League place is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana due to a decent 103 point weekly score. This was thanks to captain Jimenez (18) Cash (29) Fraser (15) Alexander-Arnold (12) Saka (12) Rudiger (6) and Watkins (6). This all sees former champ Jeff Franklin move down to fifth, following a somewhat disappointing from his point of view, 56 point week. His main contributors came from captain Adams (8) Alexander-Arnold (12) Jimenez (9) and Guaita (8).
Natalie Holder remains in sixth place with a decent weekly score of 92 points. She can thank the likes of captain James (36) Martinez (12) Saka (12) Thiago Silva (8) and Watkins (6). My youngest son Latrell Oscar remains in seventh, following a 70 point wildcard weekly score. His contributions came from captain Broja (8) Coutinho (23) Alexander-Arnold (12) Thiago Silva (8) and Hwang (7).
Remaining in eighth, but closing the gap considerably on the managers above him is Nordin Gharab with a very decent 105 point weekly score. Thanks to captain Coutinho (46) Mount (16) Jimenez (9) Coady (7) Rudiger (6) and Saiss (6). However, he maybe a little upset at leaving Alexander-Arnold on the bench. This week’s joint Highest Mover my old football club mate Darren Ahmet, he moved up two places from 11th to 9th, due an excellent weekly score of 114 points. This was thanks to the likes of captain Coutinho (46) Kane (13) Alexander-Arnold (12) Thiago Silva (8) and Rudiger (6).
Moving down but making up the top ten is Lee Barratt following his 75 point week. His contributions came from captain Salah (6) De Bruyne (18) Pukki (15) Alexander-Arnold (12) Douglas Luiz (10) and Moutinho (5). This week’s Highest Scorer was Lord Ramdhan thanks to superb 123 point weekly score. Which also made him this week’s joint Highest Mover as he moved up two places from 19th to 17th. Doing the business were captain Coutinho (46) Mount (16) Mings (14) Alexander-Arnold (12) Mendy (7) B.Silva (6) Rudiger (6) and Watkins (6).
This week’s third joint Highest Mover was Owen Barnes. He moved up two places from 15th to 13th, thanks to his weekly score of 75 points. This was mainly due to captain Alexander-Arnold (24) James (18) Mahrez (14) and Coady (7).
It’s a quick turnaround to week 29 with some double games, so make it count y’all.
