Liverpool came back twice to draw 2-2 at Fulham, and Brentford came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Leicester.

In the ninth ITYIFL season, the early pacesetter and this week’s Highest Scorer is my old football club mate Darren Ahmet, with a superb first-day weekly score of 79 points. Doing the business was captain Salah (24) Haaland (13) Martinelli (8) James (7) Mendy (7) Trippier (7) and Walker (6).

In joint second on 74 points is first, Nordin Gharib, who can also thank the likes of captain Salah (24) Haaland (13) Martinelli (8) Canelo (7) Mendy (7) and Walker. Secondly, my oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown whose contributions came from captain Haaland (26) Mitrovic (13) Salah (12) Ward-Prowse (9) and Sanchez (4)

In joint fourth with 70 points is first, my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie.  This was due to captain Darwin (18) Haaland (13) Kulusevski (13) Cancelo (7) and Mendy (7). Secondly, flying the flag for the ladies Natalie Stigwood, with points from captain Haaland (26) Zinchenko (12) Toney (8) Cancelo (7) and Pope (6).

Just three points behind in sixth is Timothy Stigwood with a 67 point weekly score. Thanks to the likes of captain Salah (24) Ward-Prowse (9) Tripper (7) Dias (6) Son (5) and White (5). My coaching partner Francis Norville is seventh, with a decent 65 point first week. With contributions from Salah (12) Darwin (9) Martinelli (8) Cancelo (7) James (7) Dias (6) and Ramsdale (6).

My youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar is in eighth, following his weekly score of 64 points. Due to captain Son (10) Haaland (13) Martinelli (8) Cancelo (7) James (7) Mendy (7) and Saka (6). In joint ninth on 62 points is first, a recent former work colleague making his debut Abdul Rahman. This was mainly due to captain Salah (24) Zinchenko (12) James (7) and Ramsdale (6).

Secondly, another former champ ahem Charles Denton, with contributions from captain Salah (24) Ward-Prowse (9) Gabriel (7) Dias (6) and Ramsdale (6). Thirdly, also making his debut, my long-time mate Bob Maroon thanks to captain Jesus (4) Haaland (13) Kulusevski (13) Darwin (9) Dier (8) and Ramsdale (6). However, he might regret playing his bench boost so early.

The Premier League is back! Full steam ahead to week two, make it count y’all.
