I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON NINE
WEEK 11
This midweek in the Premier League, Man Utd comfortably beat Tottenham 2-0 at home. Fulham rolled over Aston Villa 3-0 at home, costing Steven Gerrard his job. Southampton beat Bournemouth 1-0 away. Leicester climbed off the bottom of the table, as they beat Leeds 2-0 at home. Liverpool beat West Ham 1-0 at home. Crystal Palace came from a goal down to beat Wolves 2-1 at home. Newcastle beat Everton 1-0 at home. Brentford drew 0-0 at home with Chelsea, and Notts Forest drew 0-0 at Brighton.
In the ITYIFL, the league leader Natalie Stigwood had a rare poor week, as she failed to make the necessary changes, resulting in a disappointing 36 point weekly score. Her only real contributions came from Trippier (9) N.Williams (6) Pope (6) and Schar (5).
Taking full advantage in second, closing the gap to 52 points, is former champ Jeff Franklin, thanks to an impressive 62 point week. This was due to the likes of captain Mitrovic (12) Trippier (9) Ward (9) Alexander-Arnold (8) Dalot (6) and N.Williams (6). Moving up to third, putting everyone on notice, is double champ Danny Milton due to his impressive free hit weekly score of 62 points. This was thanks to captain Salah (6) Trippier (9) Alexander-Arnold (8) Zaha (8) Botman (7) Mitrovic (6) Sanchez (6) and Darwin (5).
Moving up into a Champions League place and looking good in his debut season is my recent former work colleague, Abdul Rahman. This was thanks to a very decent free hit 63 point weekly score. Doing the business was captain Salah (6) Alisson (15) Almiron (10) Trippier (9) Van Dijk (7) and Mitrovic (6). The first of this week’s joint Highest Movers is Nordin Gharib, who moved up a good six places from 11th to 5th, due to his decent 54 point week. His contributions came from a smart captain choice of Trippier (18) Eze (10) Dunk (8) Cucurella (6) and Pope (6).
Just three points behind is my coaching partner Francis Norville, who will be happy as he moved up to sixth, despite a very modest free hit weekly score of 47 points. His only real significant points came from captain Salah (6) Trippier (9) Dunk (8) and Zaha (8). This sees my old football clubmate Darren Ahmet move down to seventh, following a 48 point week, but more significantly, a disastrous lapse in concentration as he lost 40 points on substitutions. His contributions came from captain Salah (6) Trippier (9) Justin (7) Gomez (6) and Sanchez (6).
This week’s other joint Highest Mover was Sanjay Beecher, he moved up a good six places from 14th into the top ten in 8th. Thanks to an excellent 67 point weekly score, due to the likes Almiron (10) Trippier (9) Ward (9) Barnes (8) Diop (6) Mitrovic (6) and N.Williams (6). My former work colleague Mr James remains in ninth, following his weekly score of 47 points. This was mainly due to Raya (10) Trippier (9) Zaha (8) and N.Williams (6).
Dropping down but staying in the top ten via just two points is my oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown. This was due to a disappointing 31 point week. His only contributions came from Trippier (9) and Zaha (8). This week’s Highest Scorer was Tommy Lee, thanks to a superb 70 point weekly score. Doing the business was captain Mitrovic (12) Alisson (15) Almiron (10) Trippier (9) Dunk (8) and Zaha (8).
Full steam ahead to the weekend games. Make it count y’all.
