Fantasy Football S9 WEEK 20 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON NINE

WEEK 20

This week in the Premier League, Arsenal got a last-minute winner in a thriller to beat Man Utd at home 3-2. Man City strolled past Wolves 3-0 with another hat trick by you know who. West Ham comfortably beat Everton 2-0 at home, which ended Frank Lampard’s reign. Aston Villa beat Southampton 1-0 away. Spurs also got a 1-0 away win at Fulham. Brighton got a 2-2 draw at Leicester. Forest got a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Bournemouth. Liverpool drew at home with Chelsea 0-0. Newcastle drew 0-0 at Crystal Palace, and Leeds drew 0-0 at home to Brentford.

In the ITYIFL, with the chasing pack starting to breathe down her neck, Natalie Stigwood had a strong week and stretched her lead at the top to 40 points, due to a very decent 85 point weekly score. Thanks to the likes of captain Haaland (34) Nketiah (13) Trippier (8) Rashford (7) De Bruyne (6) Kane (6) and Pope (6).

My recent former work colleague Abdul Rahman remains in second, not that far behind, following his decent weekly score of 83 points. This was due to captain Haaland (34) Saka (9) Trippier (8) Rashford (7) Emerson (6) Kane (6) and Schar (6). Remaining in third is double champ Danny Milton, who lost some ground on the top two as he scored a modest 68 point week. With contributions from captain Kane (12) Haaland (17) Trippier (8) Rashford (7) Botman (6) De Bruyne (6) and Odegaard (5).

Philippines native Jean Ninal continues her good recent form as she consolidates fourth place and gets closer to the top three, with another decent weekly score of 82 points. Thanks to captain Haaland (34) Raya (10) Trippier (8) Rashford (7) De Bruyne (6) Kane (6) and Odegaard (5). Another who is in good recent form, Washington DC’s Greg Cabana. He moved up to fifth place, thanks to his decent 82 point weekly score due to captain Haaland (34) Guaita (10) Saka (9) Trippier (8) and Rashford (7).

This sees Sanjay Beecher move down to sixth, following his modest weekly score of 68 points. With contributions from captain Kane (12) Haaland (17) Estupinan (9) Trippier (8) Rashford (7) and Odegaard (5). Former champ Jeff Franklin also moves down to seventh, following his modest 60 point week. With his only real contributions coming from captain Haaland (34) Trippier (8) and Rashford (7).

Another moving down to eighth is Yours Truly. I scored a steady weekly score of 73 points, due to captain Haaland (34) Trippier (8) Rashford (7) De Bruyne (6) Kane (6) and Odegaard. My old football clubmate Darren Ahmet is in ninth, and closes the distance on me. No doubt having a great month in fantasy and the Premier League with Arsenal. He scored an excellent 91 point weekly score. Doing the business was captain Haaland (34) Nketiah (13) Raya (10) Trippier (8) Rashford (7) De Bruyne (6) and Kane (6).

Making up the top ten once again is my coaching partner Francis Norville, thanks to a decent 79 point week. With contributions from captain Haaland (34) Trippier (8) Rashford (7) De Bruyne (6) Pope (6) Henry (6) and Odegaard (5). This week’s Highest Scorer was former champ ahem Charles Denton, with a superb weekly score of 95 points. Which also made him this week’s Highest Mover, as he moved up four places from 21st to 17th, thanks to triple captain Haaland (51) Saka (9) Trippier (8) Rashford (7) Akanji (6) and De Bruyne (6).

Unfortunately, it is an FA Cup break this weekend, so I’ll see y’all in two weeks.
