I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON NINE
WEEK 32
This midweek in the Premier League, in what was billed as the title decider, Man City brushed Arsenal aside 4-1 at home. Newcastle brushed aside Everton 4-1 away. Brentford plunged Chelsea into even more misery with a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge. Notts Forest helped their survival chances with a 3-1 home win over European chasing Brighton. Aston Villa enhanced their European hopes with a 1-0 home win over Fulham. Liverpool continued their recent good form with a 2-1 win at West Ham. In a real six pointer, Bournemouth got a massively important 1-0 away win at Southampton. Wolves beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at home. Spurs came from two goals down at half time to draw 2-2 at home with Man Utd and Leicester got a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at Leeds.
In the ITYFL, former champ and former two-time runner up Jeff Franklin may have taken a commanding lead in the title race. He notched up a very commendable 70 point weekly score, to move him 34 points clear at the top, thanks mainly to captain Haaland (24) Rashford (12) and Kane (11).
In second, double champ Danny Milton‘s 3peat quest just got more difficult, following his weekly score of 54 points. His contributions came from captain Haaland (28) and Kane (11). In third, Washington DC’s Greg Cabana is now just eight points behind second, thanks to his decent 62 point week. Due to captain Haaland (28) Kane (11) and Sa (8).
Consolidating a Champions League place in fourth is Natalie Stigwood due to her very decent, bench boost 70 point weekly score. Thanks to captain Haaland (28) De Bruyne (19) and Sancho (7), but disappointingly only two points off the bench. Staying in fifth is my recent former work colleague Abdul Rahman following his weekly score of 54 points. His contributions came from Mings (15) Haaland (14) Kane (11) and March (5).
Philippines native Jean Ninal remains in sixth, due to her 57 point weekly score. Following contributions from captain Haaland (28) Kane (11) and Henry (5). Having a tremendous month is my old football clubmate Darren Ahmet, who moved up to seventh place thanks to his very decent 73 point week. Doing the business were captain Haaland (28) Mings (15) Gakpo (10) and Stones (9).
This sees Sanjay Beecher move down to eighth, despite his decent 66 point weekly score, due to the likes of captain Haaland (28) Kane (11) Raya (9) Alexander-Arnold (5) and March (5). Staying in ninth but stuttering and just about hanging in the top ten in Yours Truly. I scored a modest 50 point week, with my only real contributions coming from captain Haaland (28) and Sa (8).
Moving back up into the top ten, thanks to his very decent bench boost weekly score of 72 points, is Timothy Stigwood. This was due to captain Haaland (28) De Bruyne (19) and March (5), but only four points off the bench. This week’s Highest Scorer was Kool FM’s Pressure X who scored an excellent 90 point weekly score. Which also made him this week’s Highest Mover, being the only manager to move up more than one place, from 22nd to 20th. Doing the business were captain Haaland (28) De Bruyne (19) Rashford (12) Kane (11) and Raya (9).
We are on the home stretch and the games are coming thick and fast. It’s a quick turnaround to this weekend’s games, so make it count y’all.
