Fantasy Football S9 WEEK 35 Round Up

I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE

SEASON NINE

WEEK 35

This week in the Premier League, Man City strolled past Everton away 3-0 to put one hand on a third Premier League title in a row. This is because Brighton strolled past Arsenal 3-0 away. Liverpool also strolled past Leicester 3-0 away to leave the Foxes in the bottom three. Southampton were relegated after losing at home 2-0 to Fulham. Man Utd improve their Champions League chances as they beat Wolves 2-0 at home. Brentford beat West Ham 2-0 at home. Crystal Palace also beat Bournemouth 2-0 at home. Aston Villa beat Tottenham 2-1 at home to boost their European chances. In a game that affected both ends of the table, Leeds drew 2-2 at home to Newcastle. Then in midweek, Newcastle bounced back to beat Brighton 4-1 at home to almost confirm Champions League football.

Things are equally tense and exciting in the ITYFL, as league leader and former champion Jeff Franklin remains on top, but with just two more game weeks to go, I wouldn’t say he is sitting pretty. It’s more squeaky bum time. However, he remains in pole position following his 83 point weekly score. Due to the like of captain Isak (14) Estupinan (17) Trippier (11) Show (8) Haaland (7) Kane (7) Raya (7) and Mitoma (5).

However, storming up into second place, just 13 points behind, to mount a serious title challenge at the eleventh hour is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana. Due to an excellent wildcard 117 point week, thanks to captain Wilson (48) Estupinan (17) Alexander-Arnold (13) Haaland (7) Kane (7) De Gea (6) Mahrez (6) and Mitoma (5). This sees double champ Danny Milton move down to third, with his 3peat chances starting to fade, following a weekly score of 84 points. His contributions came from captain Isak (14) Estupinan (17) Trippier (11) Shaw (8) Haaland (7) Kane (7) Raya (7) and Mitoma (5).

Another who has hit form at the right time is this week’s joint Highest Mover Philippines native Jean Ninal, who moved up three places from seventh, into a Champions League place in fourth. Following her superb 122 point week, putting her joint 19th on the all-time scoring list. Doing the business was captain Wilson (48) Estupinan (17) Salah (12) Pope (10) Shaw (8) Haaland (7) Henry (6) Mahrez (6) and Mitoma (5). This sees Sanjay Beecher move down to fifth, despite his very decent 104 point weekly score, due to captain Isak (14) Estupinan (17) Eze (16) Alexander-Arnold (13) Salah (12) Leno (8) Haaland (7) Kane (6) and Mitoma (5).

Also moving down to sixth, despite his decent weekly score of 107 points is my recent former work colleague Abdul Rahman. Following contributions from captain Wilson (48) Salah (12) Trippier (11) Burn (9) Haaland (7) Kane (7) and Dunk (6). Former long-time league leader Natalie Stigwood continues to plummet, as she moves down to seventh with, given the circumstances, a disappointing 60 point week. Mainly due to captain Trippier (22) Pope (10) Shaw (8) and Haaland (7).

Moving up into eighth place is another former work colleague and this week’s Highest Scorer Mr James, with a superb 127 point weekly score, which puts him 16th on the all-time scoring list. Doing the business was captain Wilson (48) Estupinan (17) Alexander-Arnold (13) Salah (12) Trippier (11) Isak (7) Steele (7) and Wan-Bissaka (6). This sees my former football club mate Darren Ahmet move down to ninth, following his 70 point week, with contributions from captain Isak (14) Salah (12) Trippier (11) Haaland (7) Steele (7) Wan-Bissaka (6) and Mitoma (5).

Just about holding onto a top ten spot is Yours Truly, following a modest 83 point weekly score, my main contributions came from captain Isak (14) Estupinan (17) Salah (12) Trippier (11) Enciso (7) Haaland (7) Henry (6) and Mitoma (5). This week’s other Highest Mover was RMC 666, who move up three places from 24th to 21st due to an excellent 107 point week. Thanks to captain Willock (14) Wilson (24) Estupinan (17) Alexander-Arnold (13) Salah (12) Almiron (7) Haaland (7) and Raya (7).

Lastly, congratulations to the managers who have made it to the last four of the ITYIFL Cup – Derick Fredericks, Abdul Rahman, Francis Norville. Delroy Preddie. With three of the four not in the top ten, proves it’s all about the luck of the draw 😉

Only two more game weeks to go, make it count y’all.
