WEEK 2
This week in the Premier League. Brighton scored back-to-back four goals as they trounced Wolves 4-1 away. Aston Villa bounced back from last week to continue Everton’s poor start with a 4-0 home win. The 10-men of West Ham beat Chelsea 3-1 at home
Spurs beat Man Utd 2-0 at home. Brentford beat Fulham 3-0 away. Man City beat Newcastle 1-0 at home. 10-man Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-1 at home, and Arsenal beat Crystal Palace 1-0 away.
In the ITYFL. We have a new league leader. Flying the flag for JA and USA. Sanjay Beecher takes a commanding lead at the top thanks to a superb 85 point weekly score, making him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business was captain captain Salah (10) Mbeumo (16) Mitoma (12) Estupinan (11) Odegaard (11) White (7) Cash (6), and Watkins (5).
Former champ ahem Charles Denton remains in second, after his weekly score of 51 points, due to captain Haaland (4) Mitoma (12) Estupinan (11) Saliba (8) and Ederson (6). This sees Nordin Gharib move down to third following his 55 point week, mainly due to captain Haaland (4) Mbeumo (16) Mitoma (12) and Estupinan (11).
Moving up to joint third, is my oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown thanks to an excellent 75 point weekly score. With contributions from captain Mitoma (24) Estupinan (11) Areola (10) Ward-Prowse (9) Diaz (7), and Nketiah (5).
This week’s joint Highest Mover is my coaching partner Francis Norville, who moved up seven places from 12th to 5th, due to his decent 64 point week. Thanks to captain Haaland (4) Mitoma (12) Odegaard (11) Foden (9) Saliba (8) Akanji (7) Salah (5), and Solanke (5).
Moving down to sixth, is the defending two-time champ Jeff Franklin, following his modest 43 point weekly score. His main contributions came from captain Haaland (4) Mitoma (12), and Estupinan (11).
This week’s other joint Highest Mover is Yours Truly. I moved up seven places from 14h to 7th thanks to my decent wildcard weekly score of 64 points. Due to captain Salah (10) Estupinan (11) Odegaard (11) Saliba (8) Enciso (7), and Ederson (6).
Moving down to eighth is Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, following a modest weekly score of 48 points. With contributions from captain Haaland (4) Estupinan (11) Pinnock (7) Konsa (6) Ramsdale (6) Salah (5), and Salanke (5). But will feel aggrieved by Mac Allister (-2) for a red card that shouldn’t have been,
My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, moves up into ninth, following his wildcard weekly score of 57 points. Due to captain Haaland (4) Mitoma (12) Estupinan (11) Odegaard (11), and Watkins (5). Owen Barnes makes up the top ten via one point, due to his 41 point week, with contributions mainly from captain Haaland (4) Estupinan (11) Saliba (8) and Diaz (7).
