I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TEN
WEEK 4
This week in the Premier League. Notts Forest shocked mega bucks Chelsea 1-0 away. Arsenal got two stoppage-time goals to sink Man Utd 3-1 at home. Man City thrashed Fulham 5-1 at home. Spurs thrashed Burnley 5-2 away. Liverpool cruised past Aston Villa 3-0 at home.
Brighton was surprisingly comfortable as they beat Newcastle 3-1 at home. Palace beat Wolves 3-2 at home. West Ham beat Luton 2-1 away. Brentford needed a late goal to draw 2-2 at home to Bournemouth, and Everton needed a last-minute double save to draw 2-2 at Sheff Utd.
In the ITYFL, in a week where if you were one of the few who failed to captain Haaland you would be kicking yourself. League leader and August manager of the month, Sanjay Beecher has an early but commanding 22 point lead at the top, due to a very decent 81 point week. Thanks to captain Haaland (40) Mbeumo (8) Salah (8) Odegaard (7) Foden (5) and Mitoma (5).
Moving up to second is former champ. Ahem Charles Denton, following his very decent 83 point weekly score. Thanks to captain Haaland (40) Ake (8) Mbeumo (8) Rashford (7) Mitoma (5), and Saka (4). Up to third is my oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown. His excellent weekly score of 85 points was due to contributions from captain Haaland (40) Alexander-Arnold (12) Rashford (7) Ward-Prowse (7) Mitoma (5) and Saka (4).
This sees Yours Truly down to fourth, following my 72 point weekly score. Due to captain Haaland (40) Mbeumo (8) Maddison (7), and Saka (4). Also moving down to sixth is Nordin Gharib, following his 76 point week. With contributions from captain Haaland (40) Mbeumo (8) Maddison (7) Udogie (5) Porro (4), and Saka (4).
This week’s Highest Mover is my blood brother Wayne Watson, who stormed up eight places from 14th to 6th, thanks to his superb weekly score of 91 points. Which also made him this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business was captain Haaland (40) Ferguson (17) Alisson (8) Salah (8) Maddison (7), and Saka (4).
In joint sixth is Owen Barnes, with a 72 point weekly score. Due to captain Haaland (4) Darwin (8) Rashford (8), and Saka (4). Moving down to eighth is the defending two-time champ Jeff Franklin, with a 73 point week. Following contributions from captain Haaland (40) Rashford (7) Maddison (7) Martinelli (5) Mitoma (5), and Saka (4).
Down to ninth place is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson. Following his weekly score of 76 points, from captain Haaland (40) Ake (8) Mbuemo (8) Solanke (7) and Saka (4). Remaining in tenth is two-time champ Danny Milton, thanks to his 78 point weekly score. His contributions came from captain Haaland (40) Mbuemo (8) Maddison (7) Foden (5) Udogie (5), and Saka (4).
