I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TEN
WEEK 7
This week in the Premier League, Wolves surprised Premier League champions Man City 2-1 at home. Tottenham beat 9-man Liverpool 2-1 at home with virtually the last kick of the game, in a highly controversial match. Aston Villa thrashed Brighton 6-1 at home. Crystal Palace heaped more pain on Man Utd with a 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
Luton got their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory at Everton. Arsenal went to Bournemouth and brushed them aside 4-0. In the West London derby, Chelsea got a much-needed 2-0 win at Fulham. Newcastle beat Burnley 2-0 at home. West Ham also beat Sheff Utd 2-0 at home.
10-man Notts Forest drew 1-1 at home to Brentford, and in midweek, Burnley got their first win of the season as they beat Luton 2-1 away.
In the ITYFL, we have a new league leader. September manager of the month, my oldest son under his alias Tommy Devito, tops the list thanks to his superb 92 point weekly score, making him this week’s Highest Scorer by some margin. It was also the highest weekly score thus far this season. Doing the business was Watkins (23) Odegaard (17) Anderson (15) Trippier (12) Diaby (8) Gabriel (5), and Pope (6).
Moving down to joint second following identical 53 point weekly scores is first Owen Barnes, following his fee hit week with Trippier (12) Alvarez (8) Schar (7) Son (7) Pope (6) and Saliba (6). Also, Sanjay Beecher, mainly due to his smart captain choice of Morris (20), also Odegaard (17) and Cash (6).
Moving down the fourth is former champ, ahem Charles Denton, despite his decent 62 point wildcard week, from Odegaard (17) Trippier (12) Bowen (9) Son (7) Calvert-Lewin (6) and Jensen (6). Up into fifth is my coaching partner Francis Norville, following his decent weekly score of 64 points. Thanks to Odegaard (17) Trippier (12) Saka (9) Areola (6) Saliba (6) and Gordon (5).
This sees my oldest nephew Tyrell Miles-Brown move down to sixth due to a free hit, 51 point weekly score, with contributions from a brave captain choice of Calvert Lewin (12), Bowen (9) Schar (7) Areola (6) and Cash (6). This week’s Highest Mover was Simon Sebhat, he moved up eight places from 15th to 7th, due to a healthy 61 point week. Thanks to his smart captain choice of Saka (18), also Watkins (23) Cash (6) and Saliba (6).
Also moving up to eighth is my youngest son and former champ Latrell Oscar, following his weekly score of 55 points. His main contributions came from a smart captain choice of Alvarez (16), also Odegaard (17) Saka (9), and Diaby (8). Down to ninth is my blood brother Wayne Watson with a modest 46 point week, due to Saka (9) Alvarez (8) Cash (6) Saliba (6) and Alisson (4).
Moving up into the top ten, just a point behind ninth is my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie, due to his decent 57 point weekly score. Thanks mainly to Watkins (23) White (14), and Saka (9). In joint tenth is my Spurs mate Keith Wilson, following his modest 45 point week. His contributions were from Almiron (10) Saka (9) Diaby (8) Cash (6), and Isak (6).
Full steam ahead to week eight, the last week before we head into another international break, so make it count y’all.
