SEASON TEN

WEEK 11

This week in the Premier League, Man City destroyed Bournemouth 6-1 at home. Chelsea eventually beat nine-man Tottenham 4-1 away in a thrilling game. Newcastle got a controversial winner as they beat Arsenal 1-0 at home.

Notts Forest beat Aston Villa 2-0 at home. Man Utd got a last-minute winner at Fulham to win 1-0. Brentford came from behind to beat West Ham 3-2 at home. Sheff Utd got their first win of the season as they beat Wolves 2-1 at home.

Crystal Palace beat Burnley 2-0 away. Liverpool needed a last-minute goal to draw 1-1 at Luton, and Brighton drew 1-1 at Everton.

In the ITYFL, in one of the lowest ever average scoring weeks for 10 games. My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, has moved back to the top, following his weekly score of 39 points. Thanks to Trippier (9) Mitoma (6) Pope (6), and Anderson (5).

Owen Barnes moves down to second, seven points adrift due to his disappointing 26 point weekly score, with contributions from Bowen (7) Hee Chan (5) and Leno (3). Former champ, ahem Charles Denton, stays in third, just 11 points off the top following his decent 44 point week. Thanks to Trippier (9) Bowen (7) Mitoma (6) Anderson (5), and Guehi (5). But will be upset at leaving Akanji (8) on the bench.

Staying in fourth is Sanjay Beecher with his 29 point weekly score, due to captain Salah (4) Mitoma (6) Anderson (5) and Mbeumo (5). But could have done with Kabore (8) from the bench. My blood brother Wayne Watson remains in fifth, following his disappointing 21 point weekly score, where only Alisson (6) provided more than two points.

My coaching partner Francis Norville is up to sixth, thanks to his 37 point week. Due to Trippier (9) Akanji (8) and Gordon (7). My middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie is in joint sixth, following his disappointing weekly score of 25 points. Only Mitoma (6) and Mbeumo (5) scored more than two points.

My Spurs mate Keith Wilson stays in eighth, with a disappointing 20 point weekly score, due to Anderson (5) Mbuemo (5) and Leno (3). But will be upset by Romero (-4) and leaving Ake (9) on the bench. Former double champ Danny Milton remains in ninth, despite his extremely disappointing 14 point week, where only Mbeumo (5) scored more than two points. It didn’t help that he had Udogie (-4) and left Trippier (9) on the bench.

We have a trio in joint tenth. First, Washington DC’s Greg Cabana, following a wildcard weekly score of 25 points. His main contributions were from J.Ayew (5) and Hee Chan (5). But he will be upset at leaving Lascelles (9) on the bench. The second of the trio is Tommy Lee, with a decent 38 point weekly score. Due to Trippier (9) Bowen (7) Alisson (6), and Sterling (5).

The third and this week’s Highest Mover is Yours Truly. I moved up eight places from 18th to 10th, thanks to my excellent 57 point week, which also made me this week’s Highest Scorer. Doing the business was a smart choice of Doku (22) also, Lascelles (9) Trippier (9) and Mitoma (6).
