WEEK 20

This week in the Premier League, Fulham condemned Arsenal to back-to-back defeats with a 2-1 home win. Notts Forest made it back-to-back wins as they beat Man Utd 2-1 at home. Liverpool beat Newcastle at home 4-2 to go three ahead at the top of the table.

Chelsea held on to a 3-2 away win at Luton. Aston Villa got a late penalty to beat 10-man Burnley 3-2 at home. Man City strolled past Sheff Utd 2-0 at home. Wolves eased past Everton 3-0 at home.

Spurs beat Bournemouth 3-1 at home. Palace came from a goal down to beat Brentford 3-1 at home, and Brighton drew 0-0 at West Ham.

In the ITYFL, as we head into the short winter break. Owen Barnes remains the top dog but is now looking over his shoulder, following a modest 62 point week. His contributions came from captain Salah (32) Son (9) Saka (7), and Hee Chan (6).

My coaching partner Francis Norville has closed the distance in second to just six points due to a very decent wildcard weekly score of 80 points. Thanks to captain Watkins (16) Salah (16) Areola (11) Son (9) Akanji (7) J.Alvarez (7) Saka (7), and Hee Chan (6).

In third is my oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, due to his weekly score of 61 points. Following points from captain Watkins (16) Areola (11) Son (9) Saka (7) J.Alvarez (7), and Gordon (5).

Moving up to fourth is my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie, who is breathing down his brother’s neck, thanks to his very decent 87 point weekly score. His contributions came from captain Salah (32) Palmer (18) Son (9) Watkins (8) Saka (7), and Hee Chan (6).

Sanjay Beecher moves up to fifth also due to a very decent 87 point week. Thanks to the likes of captain Salah (32) Palmer (18) Foden (12) Son (9), and J.Alvarez (7). My blood brother Wayne Watson moves down to sixth despite his decent weekly score of 72 points. With contributions from captain Salah (32) Douglas Luiz (10) Saka (7) J.Alvarez (7) Hee Chan (6), and Mitchell (6).

Former champ, champ Danny Milton moves up to seventh, due to his 70 point weekly score, following captain Son (18) Palmer (18) Watkins (8) Saka (7) Johnson (6) and Elanga (5). This sees former champ, ahem Charles Denton, move down to eighth, with a modest 50 point week, due to captain Watkins (16) Saka (7) Ederson (6) Hee Chan (6) and Gordon (5).

Moving up to ninth is this week’s Highest Scorer, Nodin Gharib, thanks to a superb 95 point weekly score, the third highest this season. Doing the business was captain Watkins (16) Palmer (18) Salah (16) Cunha (12) Foden (12) Dubravka (8) Estupinan (6), and Elanga (5).

Staying in tenth is the defending double champ Jeff Franklin, following his weekly score of 71 points. Due to contributions from captain Salah (32) Son (9) Watkins (8) J.Alvarez (7), and Martinelli (5). But he will be upset at leaving Palmer on the bench.

This week’s Highest Mover was Yours Truly. I moved up four places from 19th to 15th thanks to my very decent 90 point week, the seventh highest this season. Doing the business was captain J.Alvarez (14) Palmer (18) Salah (16) Son (9) Watkins (8) Saka (7) Ake (6) Ederson (6), and Gordon (5).

Well done also to Philippines native Jean Ninal, whose 93 point weekly score is the fourth-highest this season.

As stated, the Premier League will head into a short winter break, with week 21 starting on January 12th and ending on January 22nd. See y’all on the other side.
