WEEK 26

This (reduced) week in the Premier League. Fulham shocked Man Utd, beating them 2-1 at Old Trafford. Arsenal brushed past Newcastle 4-1 at home. Aston Villa beat Notts Forest 4-2 at home. West Ham beat Brentford at home by the same score. 

Man City beat Bournemouth 1-0 away. Crystal Palace eased past Burnley 3-0 at home. Wolves beat Sheff Utd 1-0 at home and 10-man Brighton got a stoppage-time equaliser to draw 1-1 at home to Everton.

In the ITYFL, despite the reduced games, there were some decent game week points. My middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie, the February manager of the month, remains top, due to his very healthy 75 point week, thanks to captain Watkins (18) Douglas Luiz (15) Foden (11) Saka (10) Ake (6) and Haaland (5).

In second, closing the gap to just four points is Sanjay Beecher, following his 81 point weekly score, making him this week’s joint-Highest Scorer. Doing the business was captain Watkins (18) Bowen (20) Foden (11) Saka (10) Ake (6) Haaland (5), and Pickford (4).

This sees Owen Barnes drop to third due to his weekly score of 64 points. His contributions came mainly from captain Haaland (10) Bowen (20) Saka (10) Watkins (9), and Anderson (6).

Making up a Champions League place in fourth is former champ, champ Danny Milton, due to a weekly score of 59 points. Following captain Haaland (10) Foden (11) Saka (10) Branthwaite (9), and Watkins (9).

My oldest son, under his alias Tommy Devito, remains in fifth following a slightly disappointing wildcard 47 point week. With main contributions from captain Watkins (18) Saka (10) Anderson (6), and Haaland (5). But will be upset at leaving Douglas Luiz (15) on the bench. Moving up to sixth, just three points behind, is my coaching partner, Francis Norville, thanks to his weekly score of 61 points. Due to captain Haaland (10) Douglas Luiz (15) Saka (10) Watkins (9) and Ake (6).

This sees the defending two-time champ Jeff Franklin move down to seventh, following his 52 point week, due to captain Haaland (10) Foden (11) Watkins (9) and Martinelli (4). Former champ ahem Charles Denton remains eighth due to a 63 point weekly score. His contributions were from captain Haaland (10) Douglas Luis (15) Saka (10) Watkins (9) Ake (6), and Lamptey (6).

My blood brother, Wayne Watson stays in ninth place despite his modest weekly score of 54 points. Mainly due to captain Haaland (10) Douglas Luiz (15) Saka (10) Kilman (6), and Mitchell (5). Sneaking into the top ten is my youngest son and former champ, Latrell Oscar, following a free hit 67 point week. Thanks to captain Neto (6) Ait-Nouri (12) Foden (11) Saka (10) Watkins (9) Ruben (6), and Haaland (5).

This week’s other joint Highest Scorer with 81 points was Tommy Lee, which also made him this week’s Highest Mover as he moved up five places from 19th to 14th, thanks to captain a smart captain choice of Douglas Luiz (30) Bowen (20) Branthwaite (9) and Watkins (9).
