WEEK 27
This week in the Premier League, Arsenal destroyed Sheff Utd 6-0 away. Man City came from a goal down in the Manchester derby to beat Man Utd 3-1 at home. Liverpool got a last-second winner to beat Notts Forest 1-0 away. Aston Villa got a late goal to beat Luton 3-2 away.
Newcastle strolled past Wolves 3-0 at home. Fulham strolled past Brighton by the same score. Spurs needed three late goals to come from behind to beat Crystal Palace 3-1 at home. West Ham got two stoppage-time goals to beat Everton away 3-1.
Bournemouth eased past Burnley 2-0 away, and Chelsea needed a late equalise to draw 2-2 at Brentford.
In the ITYFL, the title race is shaping up to be as tight as the Premier League. We have a new league leader. Flying the flag for JA & USA, Sanjay Beecher moves into the No1 spot thanks to his decent 77 point weekly score. Due to captain Haaland (12) Foden (15) Watkins (13) Kelleher (9) Saka (7) Virgil (6) Zabarnyi (6), and Bowen (5).
Down to second, but just four points behind, is my middle son Jahsiah Tobierrie. Following his 69 point week, with contributions from captain Haaland (12) Foden (15) Watkins (13) Saka (7) Gabriel (6) Saliba (6) and Douglas Luiz (4).
Owen Barnes remains in third place, just eight points behind, due to his decent weekly score of 76 points. With captain Haaland (12) Areola (13) Watkins (13) Saka (7) Gabriel (6) Saliba (6) Virgil (6) Bowen (5), and Palmer (5).
Former champ, champ Danny Milton remains fourth but slowly sneaking into title contention, thanks to his very decent 80 point week. Due to captain Haaland (12) Foden (15) Watkins (13) Odegaard (10) Neto (8) Saka (7) Gabriel (6) and Palmer (5).
My oldest son under his alias Tommy Devito, remains fifth, following his decent weekly score of 79 points. With captain Watkins (26) Areola (13) Gordon (8) Saka (7) Haaland (6) Saliba (6) Palmer (5) and J.Alvarez (4). Moving up to sixth, just a point behind, is the defending, two-time champ Jeff Franklin, thanks to his excellent 84 point week. His contributions came from captain Haaland (12) Foden (15) Watkins (13) Martinelli (11) Burn (8) Gordon (8) Gabriel (6), and Palmer (5).
Moving down to seventh but still chasing a top-four finish is my coaching partner Francis Norville. He had a decent weekly score of 74 points. With captain Watkins (26) Areola (13) Saka (7) Gabriel (6) Haaland (6) Saliba (6), and Douglas Luiz (4). Former champ, ahem Charles Denton, stays in eighth due to a 71 point week. His contributions were from captain Watkins (26) Odegaard (10) Saka (7) Gabriel (6) Haaland (6) Virgil (6), and Douglas Luiz (4).
My blood brother Wayne Watson stays in joint ninth, despite his relatively disappointing weekly score of 57 points. Due to captain Haaland (12) Konate (8) Morris (8) Saka (7) Saliba (6) Palmer (5) J.Alvarez (4) and Douglas Luiz (4). This week’s Highest Mover was the only manager to move up more than one place this week. Timothy Stigwood moved up three places from 12th to joint 9th, thanks to his excellent weekly score of 84 points. Following captain Haaland (12) Foden (15) Areola (13) Watkins (13) Saka (7) Gabriel (6) Saliba (6), and Palmer (5).
Making up the top ten (although the table says 11th), just four points behind is my youngest son, and former champ Latrell Oscar due to his very decent 80 point weekly score. Thanks to captain Son (14) Watkins (13) Gordon (8) Saka (7) Gabriel (6) Haaland (6) Raya (6) Bowen (5) Doughty (5) Gusto (5) and Palmer (5).
This week’s Highest Scorer was the manager bringing up the rare of the table, RMC Eremce. It was a rare positive week with a superb weekly score of 102 points, the second-highest this season. Doing the business were captain Saka (14) Foden (15) Areola (13) Watkins (13) Schar (12) Muniz (11) Haaland (6) Saliba (6) Virgil (6), and Bowen (5).
