I TELL YAH INVITATIONAL LEAGUE
SEASON TEN
WEEK 31
This midweek in the Premier League, Chelsea scored two goals in the last three minutes to secure a thrilling 4-3 win at home to Man Utd. Man City smashed Aston Villa 4-1 at home, while Liverpool eventually beat Sheff Utd 3-1 at home to stay top. Arsenal eased past Luton 2-0 at home.
Notts Forest beat Fulham 3-1 at home. Bournemouth beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at home. Everton got a late goal to draw 1-1 at Newcastle. West Ham drew 1-1 at home to Spurs. Wolves drew 1-1 at Burnley, and Brighton drew 0-0 at Brentford.
In the ITYLFL, we have a new league leader. A familiar name. The defending two-time champ Jeff Franklin, has made his way to the summit and could have timed it to perfection due to his excellent 77 point week. Thanks to vice-captain Darwin (12) Foden (20) Palmer (20) Gabriel (6). and Luis Diaz (6).
Talking about familiar names, the former back-to-back champ Danny Milton is this week’s joint Highest Mover, he moved up three places from fifth to joint second to give the league an all too familiar look. Thanks to an excellent weekly score of 78 points, with Foden (20) Palmer (20) Johnson (9) Isak (8) Neto (7) and Gabriel (6).
Moving up to joint second, flying the flag for Jamaica and the USA, is Sanjay Beecher, showing he is not out of it yet. He had a very decent 72 point weekly score, with contributions from Foden (20) Palmer (20) Smith (9) Zabarnyi (7) and Bowen (5).
This sees my middle son Jahsiah Tobierre drop to fourth, following a disappointing weekly score of 45 points, due to Foden (20) Saliba (7) Gabriel (6) and Kluivert (6).
Owen Barnens has moved down to fifth due to his disappointing 46 point weekly score, where his main contributions came from Palmer (20) Saliba (7) and Van Hecke (6). My oldest son under his alias Tommy Devito, remains in sixth, but losing ground on the above following his disappointing 40 point week, which was mainly due to Palmer (20) Saliba (7) and White (6).
Former champ ahem Charles Denton stays in seventh, just two points behind due to his decent weekly score of 64 points. Thanks to vice-captain Isak (16) Palmer (20) Odegaard (11), and Gabriel (6). My coaching partner Francis Norville stays in eighth, but continues to see his title aspirations fade, following his disappointing 49 point weekly score, due to Palmer (20) Saliba (7) Darwin (6) and Gabriel (6).
This week’s second joint Highest Mover was Timothy Stigwood, who moved up three places from 12th to 9th, following a very decent weekly score of 76 points. Thanks to vice-captain Bowen (10) Foden (20) Palmer (20) Saliba (7) Gabriel (6), and Van Hecke (6). My youngest son Latrell Oscar moves down, but stays in the top ten due to his decent 59 point week score. Following Palmer (20) Garnacho (14) Darwin (6) Gabriel (6), and Raya (6).
This week’s Highest Scorer was my Old Skool mate Derick Fredericks, thanks to his superb 87 point week. Which also made him the third joint Highest Mover, as he moved up three places from 23rd to 20th. Doing the business were vice-captain Palmer (40) Foden (20) Mac Allister (10), and Gabriel (6).
Full steam ahead to the weekend’s games. We are officially on the home stretch of the season. Make it count y’all.
